  From start to finish, working with Ray from Alderete Pools & Solar was an absolutely incredible experience. He was transparent, honest, and professional every step of the way. What truly sets Ray apart is how far he goes above and beyond, there were moments where it genuinely felt like he was working on his own home, given the level of passion, care, and attention to detail he brought to the project. he also took the time to understand how to best work with me, and I was very grateful for that. It certainly made evert decision much easier. Ray made sure we were aligned and happy with every single decision, down to the smallest details, and I mean that sincerely. Nothing was overlooked, and we always felt heard and respected throughout the process. Ray and Kris together are simply an incredible team. It’s rare to come across people who are not only highly skilled but also so genuine, humble, and hardworking. Every worker on the team deserves an applause! By the end of the project, they felt more like family than contractors and we still keep in touch today. In fact, I find myself looking for reasons to take on another backyard project just to have the chance to work with them again. They are truly that good. If you’re considering Alderete Pools & Solar, don’t hesitate. This team is a 10!… Honestly, a 10+. You will never regret your decision to work with them. I’ve been through projects like this before, and I can confidently say they are the best. I also have to specifically mention Kris, he is incredibly kind and always willing to help, even with things outside the original scope of work. That level of generosity and care is rare. To this day, I still find myself looking for little projects around the house just to have his input or help again, which really says everything about the kind of person he is. Hoping Ray will come by for dinner one night soon, just to stay in contact!

  We are over the moon with our new backyard. Ray, Kris, and the rest of the team were true professionals, easy to work with, took care of all our special requests, always provided solutions, and delivered a masterpiece! Ray is a great communicator and always did what he said he would do when it was supposed to be done. Couldn’t be more pleased with the craftsmanship and high quality work the team provided. Ray isn’t the cheapest but the value we got for the money we paid was off the charts. If you are building a pool in S Orange County use Ray, you won’t be disappointed.

  We recently renovated our backyard space and used Alderete Pools. Ray was fantastic. We received several bids from various contractors for the project—Ray told us upfront that he was not the least expensive but the end result would show his quality work. We selected him because we knew we would enjoy working with him. He’s a great guy; he’s honest and upfront. He told us the cost would be the cost and wouldn’t try to bill us for things later. And he was true to his word. The final cost was just what he said and he completed the project in the timeframe he provided. Our finished result is amazing — we love our new space. Ray built our pool, spa, hardscape and landscape/turf (also added solar panels) and it all looks so beautiful. I highly recommend Ray and his team—they were wonderful to work with.

  Best contractor experience ever! The owner Ray Alderete is a people pleaser which is an extremely rare personality trait for a contractor. I spent over 10 years planning my pool, spa and landscape project. Over this time I researched several Orange County pool contractors. Ray's excellent reputation is why I selected his company for our project. He wasn't the least expensive bid. However his quality was excellent and the project was finished ahead of schedule. We broke ground on April 7, 2022 and were swimming in our new pool on June 30, 2022. My advice to people contemplating a pool project is do your research and get references. You don't want to find out you selected the wrong contractor after they dig an 8ft deep hole in your yard. Alderete Pools is a first class contractor and well worth the price paid for our project.
