  I went to Rona on Saturday to purchase a sealer for my deck. I was not shy about saying I know nothing about staining a deck. I ended up speaking to Stephane who, once I told him what I was looking for, he explained everything and I left with exactly what I needed and the knowledge to do the job. Thank you for your assistance Stephane, very much appreciated

  Today's experience is one of many, many similar encounters. I asked a question at a counter. I recieved an answer with a "let's ask someone with more experience with this specific application". That by itself impressed me, he gave an answer but wanted confirmation! I respect that. I was introduced to Stephane, he spent time with me and answered my question.   I had a very disappointing experience at the RONA Pincourt on April 26. I selected a Pit Boss Pro Series 850 grill that was clearly displayed at $499 in the seasonal department and completed the purchase in full. The issue was only raised afterward during warehouse pickup, after the transaction had already been processed. At that point, I was informed the price was incorrect and would not be honored. The situation was escalated to the store director, Christian. Unfortunately, instead of working toward a reasonable resolution, the interaction became unnecessarily confrontational, including repeated finger-pointing and a dismissive tone. For context, I relied on the displayed price in good faith and have video evidence confirming how the product was presented in-store at the time of purchase. I was offered the grill at $699, which I declined as it did not reflect the price that was clearly displayed when I made the purchase. I ultimately had to take a refund. I’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars at Rona over the past few years on renovation projects for both my own home and my family’s properties, so this experience was particularly disappointing. I hope management and head office take this feedback seriously — both in terms of pricing accuracy and how customer concerns are handled at the store level.
