    ⭐☆☆☆☆ I had a very disappointing experience with The Brick. Three years ago, we purchased a sofa, and the sales representative, Salma, convinced us to buy an additional $100 warranty by telling us that after three years we would be able to get that money back. That promise was one of the main reasons we agreed to purchase the warranty. Yesterday, after waiting three years, we went back to claim it, only to find out that it was not true. Instead, we were told there were additional policy requirements, including spending another $400 within a limited time period—something that was never clearly explained when the warranty was sold. This feels extremely misleading. Customers should not be promised benefits during the sales process only to discover years later that those promises don’t actually apply. It seems like important conditions are intentionally left out just to make a sale. I have completely lost my trust in The Brick. I would strongly recommend that anyone shopping here get every promise in writing before believing what a salesperson tells you.

    I do not recommend buying a mattress from The Brick. I purchased a mattress from The Brick on May 22, 2026. This is the first negative review I have ever written in my life. In the past, I only left reviews when I was happy with a business or service, but my experience with this purchase was very disappointing. The mattress felt comfortable in the store. However, when it was delivered, it felt significantly softer than the one I had tested. I suspected it might have been a returned mattress. The very next morning, I went back to the store and asked to return it. I was told that returns were allowed only if a substantial portion of the purchase price was deducted, in addition to the delivery fee. The total loss was close to 50% of the mattress price. They also offered me a 10% discount if I purchased a much more expensive mattress instead. In the end, I decided to return the mattress and accept the financial loss because I was not satisfied with the product. My advice is to think carefully before purchasing a mattress from The Brick. A mattress can feel great in a showroom but completely different once you sleep on it at home. Many other retailers, such as IKEA, Costco, Sleep Country, and others, offer more customer-friendly return policies, so there is no risk if the mattress does not work for you. To be fair, I have also purchased a bed frame and counter chairs from The Brick before, and I am very happy with those products. My concern is specifically with buying mattresses due to the return policy and my overall experience with this purchase.

    ⭐ 1 Star I visited The Brick Richmond Hill on June 18, 2026, around 8:00 PM, intending to purchase two beds and two mattresses with a budget of approximately $3,000. Unfortunately, the sales associate who assisted me was impatient, dismissive, and unwilling to answer my questions properly. I felt rushed throughout the entire process. When I was waiting for my sister to return before making a final decision, she asked, “Are you going to decide or should I leave?” which I found extremely unprofessional. When I asked for her name, she refused to provide it. I then spoke with a manager, but instead of addressing my concerns, he defended the employee and suggested her behavior was due to the store being close to closing time. Being close to closing is not an excuse for poor customer service. I came ready to make a significant purchase and left feeling disrespected and disappointed. This experience completely changed my impression of The Brick, and I will not be returning to this location.

    UPDATE: After posting my original review, The Brick responded publicly and asked me to contact them directly so they could address my concerns. I took the time to send a detailed email outlining the issues, expenses, and inconvenience we had experienced. Unfortunately, nothing was resolved. No meaningful solution was offered, and none of the concerns were addressed. Their public response gave the impression they wanted to make things right, but that was not my experience. I purchased a refrigerator from The Brick along with an extended warranty, expecting peace of mind if something went wrong. Unfortunately, my experience has been the exact opposite. The refrigerator has experienced repeated failures, resulting in multiple instances of food spoilage and numerous service visits. Despite extensive repairs and replacement of major components, the issues continue. We are now dealing with yet another breakdown. Obtaining a warranty-covered loaner appliance was unnecessarily difficult on two separate occasions. What should have been a straightforward process required multiple calls, excessive follow-up, and significant time and effort on our part. Customer service wait times were often several hours before we could receive adequate assistance. Communication between departments appears disorganized, and I frequently received conflicting information. Sales staff also seemed unfamiliar with the warranty coverage and benefits being sold, which created unrealistic expectations about the level of protection being provided. Perhaps the most disappointing discovery was learning that food spoilage reimbursement is capped for the entire five-year warranty term. After experiencing repeated failures of the same appliance, it is frustrating to find that coverage can effectively be exhausted while the underlying problem remains unresolved. When customers purchase extended protection plans, they expect reliable support when problems arise. Instead, this experience has involved repeated breakdowns, lost food, lengthy wait times, administrative hurdles, and ongoing inconvenience. I cannot recommend The Brick's extended warranty program or this specific location based on my experience.
