  My wife and I went into Jysk in Orleans to purchase a few items and were very disappointed with the lack of customer service we experienced. When we were ready to check out, we stood at the front cash for several minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge or assist us. There were several employees gathered around a central cash station, yet no one seemed to notice that we were waiting at the front cash to make our purchase. Even though there was no staff at the front cash, I would at least expect a manager on duty to be aware when customers are standing at a cash register without being served and ensure that someone is available to assist them. Zina, who appeared to be the employee working the front cash, was performing other duties at the front of the store. She made eye contact with us at one point but continued with what she was doing for several more minutes before eventually coming over to assist us. When she did, there was no apology or acknowledgement that we had been waiting. I understand that employees have other responsibilities, but simply acknowledging waiting customers and letting them know someone will be with them shortly is basic customer service. Unfortunately, being left standing at the register without any acknowledgement made what should have been a simple purchase a very disappointing customer experience.

  We had a great experience at JYSK thanks to Aavin. He was knowledgeable, patient, and never made us feel pressured. He took the time to answer all of our questions, helped us compare different patio sets, and made sure we found the right options for our needs. We ended up purchasing the SALTEN conversation set and the IBIS dining set, and we're very happy with our decision. Excellent customer service from start to finish. Thanks again, Aavin!
