I had an absolutely outstanding experience at Blinds To Go, and I especially want to recognize Isabelle and Alisha for their exceptional customer service.
From the moment I walked in, both ladies were incredibly humble, patient, professional, and genuinely helpful. Since this was my first time purchasing blinds, I had many questions and needed proper guidance throughout the process. Isabelle and Alisha made everything simple and stress-free. They carefully guided me at every stage, helped me understand the different options, assisted with getting the correct measurements, and gave honest recommendations based on my needs rather than just trying to make a sale.
One of the most helpful parts of the experience was being able to take samples home to compare directly with my wall colors and lighting. That made a huge difference in selecting the perfect color, pattern, and style of blinds for my home. Their attention to detail and willingness to help truly stood out.
It’s rare to find customer service with this level of patience, professionalism, and care nowadays. Isabelle and Alisha went above and beyond to make sure I felt confident and comfortable with my decision.

The quality of the blinds themselves is good, but my overall experience with the Kanata location of Blinds to Go was very disappointing.
From the beginning, I had concerns about the measurements provided in the quote. I even had photos to support this and brought it up at the time. I was reassured not to worry, as I was told they have a team that reviews all measurements before orders are finalized. Based on that, I proceeded and paid the down payment.
The next day, a different blind (the one I originally wanted) went on sale, and switching the order was handled without issue. However, I was later asked to confirm the window depth, so I sent additional photos of both windows. Again, I was told over the phone that everything would fit.
When the blinds arrived and I went to pick them up, I was surprised to find that the final balance did not match the original quote. I had to drive back home and then return again (a 30-minute trip each way) just to retrieve the paperwork and sort things out.
When I returned the next day, the original salesperson was not there. I explained the situation to another employee and showed her the quote. After some investigation, it turned out the issue came down to incorrect measurements being entered—despite my earlier concerns and the reassurances I had received. I was then told that the higher price reflected the correct size and asked if that was the size I wanted. Of course it was—but the whole point is that I had already flagged the measurement issue beforehand and was told it would be reviewed and corrected.
In the end, I was required to pay more than what I was originally quoted after making a deposit, due to an error that was not mine. That is extremely frustrating. As a customer, I rely on the staff to input correct measurements and provide accurate pricing, especially after raising concerns in advance.
While the product itself is good, the customer service and handling of this situation were very disappointing. I did not feel that there was any real effort to take responsibility or make things right. Unfortunately, this made for a very unpleasant first experience with Blinds to Go.
When I entered the Blinds to Go store, I was warmly greeted by Isabelle, who encouraged me to browse at my own pace and assured me that she was available if I needed any assistance. This welcoming approach made me feel comfortable and not pressured. As I explored the store and began asking questions, Isabelle patiently explained the differences between curtains and blinds, as well as the various options available, from ready-made to custom- made solutions. She provided fabric samples and clearly described the difference choices for light control and privacy. Her explanations were straightforward and easy to understand, and I felt that my questions were genuinely listened to and addressed. Overall, the experience was pleasant and gave me confidence in my decisions.
