I have no idea how this store stays in business. Everytime I go in is completly empty and now i understand why. I went in with the intent to buy a high end BBQ that I saw at a good price. Think I could find any staff....nope. The staff I saw were just standing around talking and joking or just walking past me not one person can I help you with anything. I walked around and looked over few bbq's so I was there for a good while and not one staff stopped or assisted me at all I could not believe it. I just left went across the road to HD and spend my money there as they immediately ask can help you, any questions...etc. Rona needs to work at HD for a day to learn how customer assistance is done the right way. I gladly spend a substantial amount and I am enjoying my BBQ thanks to HD. I will as well be adressing this with RONA corporate as this is embarassing how this store and customer assistance is handled.

The cashier knew her stuff, but was busy helping another customer. But she was awesome. The so called help in the lumber yard were able to determine that they were in fact in Carleton Place, but other than that you were on your own. Probably won't be back.

Very clean store, had everything I needed. Only complaint is it took a while to get some help. Waited for almost 15 minutes in one section before someone finally came over and asked if I needed assistance. But when I did get help service was very friendly.

I have never had such a terrible experience at a store than at Rona in Carleton Place. I do not know how a business can operate like this! I was there to inquire about an issue with a online order that I made recently, and they did not know how to help me or did not seem to be interested in doing so. I asked the person to call customer service to help her and she did not do so for about 15-20 minutes. She told me that she had to serve other customers first... wasn't I a customer? At some point, there was no other customer and she was just standing around, and not calling customer service. After she did, she came back to tell me completely different info that Customer Service had told me that morning after I had called them. I then spoke to the manager ( which also did not seem interested in helping me). I asked him to call customer service also since I was getting mixed information. He did and came back with the wrong information also. I had to call customer service myself ( again) while I was at the store, and handed the phone to the manager. Both staff members were wrong and got the correct info from their customer service. The manager did not apologize for the incorrect info that the store gave me. I was there for a total of 45 minutes. It is no wonder that store is always empty when they deliver such poor service. The two staff members were very incompetent and unprofessional. Rona is also an AMERICAN business now, it was sold to a private american firm in 2023. I will never shop there again or order any product from them!
