    Went in for an advertised flyer special, and the salesperson tried really hard to upsell, which we definitely did not want. Once paid for, we were instructed to go to the back of the store for pick up. We had to wait a good 5-10 minutes for anyone to answer the door, and when they finally did, had to wait an additional 15 minutes for anyone to find and bring our item for pick up. We were not impressed with the process.

    I recently visited The Brick in Burlington to outfit my home with a full suite of new appliances, and I had the absolute pleasure of working with Mehr. From the moment I walked in, Mehr provided a masterclass in customer service. What really stood out was his deep technical knowledge. He didn’t just show me the products; he explained the specific features of the LG washer/dryer set and the Samsung kitchen suite, helping me understand exactly how they would fit my needs. He was incredibly kind, patient, and never made me feel pressured, which made the entire high-stakes purchase feel seamless and stress-filled. It is rare to find a salesperson who balances professional expertise with such a genuine, friendly demeanor. Mehr is a massive asset to The Brick team, and his dedication to his customers is the reason I’ll be recommending this location to everyone I know. If you're looking for someone who actually knows their stuff and treats you with respect, ask for Mehr!

    I visited The Brick yesterday, April 14, 2026, and I can honestly say it was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. At the end of 2024, I had a flood in my home and had to replace a significant amount of furniture and appliances. I purchased numerous items from The Brick, including a fridge, washer and dryer, couch, end tables, and a computer chair. As you can imagine, I spent thousands of dollars with your company. The reason for my visit was the computer chair I purchased, which I use every day for work. The chair has now broken at multiple weld points. In my professional experience, having previously sold contract furniture to universities and colleges across the GTA, this should never happen. A weld failure like this is clearly a manufacturing defect, and in my years in the industry, any manufacturer or manufacturer’s representative would have immediately replaced the chair without hesitation, regardless of warranty status, because this is not normal wear and tear. Despite explaining this, I was told that because the manufacturer’s warranty is only one year—and the chair is now one year and two months old—there was nothing The Brick could do. I was told I would need to contact the manufacturer myself, which, of course, is based in China. I found this unacceptable, especially considering The Brick is the retailer that sold the product and undoubtedly has direct contact information for the supplier. What made the situation even worse was that I explained this chair failure nearly caused serious injury. I almost split my head open when it collapsed, and I had to go to the hospital to ensure I had not suffered a concussion. Even after sharing that, the staff were extremely dismissive, rude, and visibly rolling their eyes, as though I was making an unreasonable request, when all I was asking was for The Brick to stand behind a defective product that they sold. For additional context, I weigh under 200 lbs, and this chair is rated well above that capacity, making the failure even more concerning. I strongly encourage The Brick to take a serious look at how its employees treat customers—especially loyal customers who, only a year ago, spent thousands of dollars in your store. I used to recommend The Brick regularly, but based on this experience and the significant decline in customer service I have witnessed over the past 10 years, this will very likely be my last purchase with your company. The level of service I received was truly atrocious.
