  Helpful staff, but more training is needed I shop at the RONA in Brantford and have always found the associates to be friendly, polite and very willing to help. Unfortunately, quite often when I ask where a particular item is located, the associates don’t know which aisle or area of the store to direct me to. I don’t blame the employees—they genuinely seem to want to help. I think they simply need better training and more familiarity with where products are located throughout the store. As a customer, I sometimes spend far too much time wandering through the aisles trying to find what I’m looking for. The willingness to provide good customer service is definitely there. With better training and knowledge of the store layout, the experience could be much better.

  I haven’t been to Rona in awhile, there was so much less product and most things had this blue “value” label. Looked extremely cheap and badly made. Lots less good brand names. Nobody was in the store. Everything just looked like crap. Checkout didn’t have the shelves of interesting things like before. Some no name paper towel. Went to Home Depot after and it was packed, a different vibe and a lot more staff. Rona sure has gone downhill since they were Lowes.

  I was at the store, and Joe helped me with all of my questions. I’ve been to many stores, but Joe truly went above and beyond and was incredibly helpful. Home Depot used to be my go-to store, but Lowe’s will now be my go-to simply because of the amazing service Joe provided. He truly deserves a pay raise and recognition for his outstanding customer service!

  I’m not really sure where to place this other than in a review just for public knowledge and maybe for the managers or somebody to see it.. My grandfather who is 78 years old, went into Rona to get a 12 foot board cut down to 10 foot. It’s well known that Home Depot Rona and Lowes all offer that service..to cut down wood to whatever length you may need. My grandfather‘s hard of hearing, and the guy that they sent over was not fluent in English and was only mumbling and pointing as a way to communicate, both my grandmother and my grandfather were confused and ended up walking away. However this was after The Rona worker that was called over there was asked by my grandfather to cut down the 12 foot board to 10 feet. The store worker was insinuating that my grandfather should use the tools in Rona and cut the board himself. Now I’m no insurance broker or insurance agent but that’s a major red flag. What would happen if he cut that board and fell backwards or if he cut his finger or God knows what else. Incredibly unsafe to be having somebody supposed to be operating machinery equipment, not understand basic English and how to articulate and respond to a customer. It’s also incredibly dangerous for someone who is insured with Rona as an employee to insinuate a 78 year-old man should have no problem cutting the board in store Because the guy did not know how to operate it.

  Shout out to AIDEN for his fantastic customer service! I had stopped going to Rona because of multiple, unsatisfactory interactions with indifferent, unknowledgeable employees. But, I was in the area and needed items quickly. Aiden immediately came down from his ladder where he was shelving, listened to my request and began finding a solution. He made sure the screws and drywall anchors were the right size and weight for my project. He also ensured I wasn’t buying more than I needed. His professionalism, customer service skills and attention to detail were outstanding. Note: My current 5 star rating is based on Aiden. The area of Rona where I was searching was clean, organized and clearly labelled.
