What a terrible experience with their Appliance department! Sold me a broken dishwasher and then tells me “Sorry, you’ll have to contact the manufacturer”. Absolutely pitiful Customer Service

Valerie in customer service/returns is unnecessarily sarcastic and shamelessly unhelpful. My company shops at Lowe's because we appreciate professionalism but one horrible attitude can negate many positive experiences. Valerie refused to honor the the exchange policy printed on the items package and then proceeded to throw a teen-aged tantrum when asked for a manager who obviously recognized her error and honored the policy. Valerie, if you are reading this, I hope that you and the manager have the opportunity to review the audio of our interaction and that you are able to understand the huge gap between the Lowe's customer service standard that your were trained and the low bar that you are holding yourself to. I hope that you are able to take accountability for your behavior and allow yourself grow into a professional adult in your workplace 😊

Poor service. Bought a new GE washer it was not working as it should. Went back to lowes and was told by Elaine the manager it had been longer than 48 hours and and no longer their problem due to company policy. Was handed a flyer and to call GE. Tech came out 5 days later and I was told the new machines are not as good as the older models and could not handle smaller loads without going out of balance. Piece of junk now I have to go to small claims court to get my money back.

We purchased a major appliance (refrigerator) about 14 months ago with the “Protection Plan” which seems to work well on minor issues. However what they don’t tell you about is the process. Here’s how it works 1) you file a claim 2) it takes 2-5 days to schedule a tech 2) Tech comes out, makes an evaluation but cannot do the repair until authorized, which takes another 2-5 days. 3) Once authorized they order the parts, this also can take another 2-5 days. They will not schedule a repair appointment until the parts are delivered. Once the parts are delivered they will call you to schedule an appointment to repair- this will take another 2-5 days. Long story short- it took almost 20 days for get our refrigerator repaired. We are a family of 5. This means we had no refrigerator for 20 days. That was the first time Fast forward 2 months- the unit fails again. We have to repeat the process, this time it only took 15 days. Fast forward again- the unit has failed a 3rd time and Lowe’s will not replace the unit, they have asked me to go through the process again because that IS the process. Refrigerator went out Christmas Day, today is 12/30 and despite calls to Lowe’s Corporate we still have not heard from the repair company. This is day 5 without a refrigerator. I will say the folks at Lowe’s Murrieta have been helpful and friendly but it is totally (according to them) out of their hands- it’s “Corporate policy”. Get your appliances at Costco. I can promise you this issue would have been resolved “round one”. Lowe’s promise of a “fast fix” is a blatant lie. Their solution was to buy me a “mini fridge” until the issue is resolved. That means 5 people will be living out of a mini fridge for 20 days x 3. Think about that….a family of 5 living out of a mini fridge for 60 days. Good job Lowe’s. Well done. Update- I got a response (same day actually) and they leave me a 1-800 number, but no name! Beautiful....who do I call @ 1.800 good luck??? (you can see the response from Lowes) no name just 1.800....amazing!
