  Absolutely horrible experience at Gus Lock and Key. This was by far one of the most unprofessional businesses I’ve ever dealt with. I was quoted $550 over the phone for a BMW key, but the moment I showed up and she saw my car, the price magically jumped to nearly $1,000. Completely dishonest and misleading. When I questioned it, the employee got extremely rude and dismissive instead of explaining anything. Her attitude was terrible from the second I walked in very condescending, irritated, and acting like she was doing me a favor just by being there. At one point she even said she “didn’t need my money” and didn’t have to help me because she already makes enough. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how they treat customers. On top of that, the shop smelled strongly like a dispensary, which made the whole environment feel even more unprofessional. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. There are plenty of other locksmiths who actually value their customers and honor their pricing. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

  Called for a quote on a lost Honda key and the girl told me $150, later on she called me back saying she wasn’t going to be able to do it because she wasn’t in the area and she only had a $250 key and she ran out of the cheaper one. Then she sent a guy to do my key and I asked him what the difference was from the keys and he said that there’s only one key for that car and it cost the same, which I already knew also so I just got confirmation. She basically sent the guy to do the key for me and charged me an extra $100 for herself since she wasn’t going to be able to do it. She over charges at times to different people. From my experience and friends. Women just can’t seem to do the job RIGHT and HONESTLY. But if the shoe was on the other foot… lol… first and last time I use them. Nothing cheap and honest about them.

  I came in politely to ask a simple question about reprogramming a key fob that this business originally replaced for me a couple of years ago. I had no attitude and approached the situation kindly, simply looking for information. Instead of being respectfully informed that the key would need to be replaced rather than reprogrammed, I was spoken to in a rude and dismissive manner and referred to as “girl,” which I found disrespectful and unnecessary. The interaction made me uncomfortable enough to leave without receiving any assistance. I understand that not every service can be provided, but professionalism and basic courtesy should always be. I am a kind person and was treated in a way that did not reflect that. This experience was very disappointing
