Last week, I placed an order on Lowes.com, but when it arrived, I received the wrong item. I immediately contacted customer service through the app chat. The representative was helpful—they created a case for me and instructed me to visit my local Lowe’s store to return the incorrect item.
When I arrived at the store, a young lady initially assisted me and seemed ready to process the return. However, a gentleman approached and abruptly refused to process it, stating, “You can’t do that—it’s not the right item.” That was precisely the issue—it wasn’t the right item that was sent to me.
He claimed the item didn’t come from their store but from another location (Bellflower), despite the return label clearly showing it came from the distribution center in North Carolina. His tone and attitude made it clear he simply didn’t want to deal with the return, and he redirected me to another store instead of helping resolve the issue.
This was both frustrating and disappointing. I shop at Lowe’s often because of the convenience and normally reliable service, but this experience was the complete opposite of what I expect from your brand. Employees who make up their own rules or refuse to help customers who have already gone through the proper channels shouldn’t be representing Lowe’s.
