Apparently, everything, except maybe the kiosk catching fire (which, honestly, might’ve produced better keys). The machine cheerfully accepted my payment and spit out three brass keys that look like they were chewed out by a nervous squirrel. The cuts are so vague I’m not sure if they’re meant to open a door or start a philosophical debate. I’m seriously considering using them as abstract art or miniature throwing stars. Also ordered some “less common” keys by mail. Fantastic. Now I get to play the exciting new game: “Will these keys work, or am I sleeping in the hallway?” And since I have no idea if the problem was the scan, the cutter, or just the universe mocking me, I don’t exactly have high hopes. KeyMe, if you’re reading this, compensate me. Not just with a do-over. I want a proper apology, working keys, and maybe a medal for enduring this treasure hunt of disappointment.
