  I am leaving this review to help other tenants who may have been affected by the fire that occurred on March 10, 2026, around 5:00 PM at this Extra Space Storage location. I was present at the facility when the fire began. Based on what I personally observed, it appeared to start shortly after another tenant was working on a motorcycle outside his unit. The fire spread very quickly, and multiple units were reportedly affected. After the incident, I was asked to sign documents that were described to me as part of the insurance process. However, after reviewing them carefully, I noticed language in the paperwork that appeared to release Extra Space Storage from responsibility and transfer ownership of the remaining property in the unit. Because of that, I chose not to sign anything until I could fully understand the legal implications. I would strongly encourage any affected tenant to read every document very carefully before signing, especially any additional pages, and to keep copies of everything. I was later told to return at a scheduled time to begin removing belongings from my damaged unit. When I arrived, staff opened access for me and then asked me to wait. I waited for over two hours, but no staff member returned, and my messages, and emails were not answered. Because I did not want to proceed without clear authorization, I documented everything and left. Based on my experience, I would recommend that other tenants communicate only in writing whenever possible, keep copies of all emails and messages, and document the condition of their property with photos and video. This review reflects only my personal experience and observations. I am posting it in case it helps other people affected by this incident. Update: Extra Space Storage responded asking me to call them, however I have already contacted them via multiple emails, including customer service and executive-level contacts, to properly document the situation. At this time, the key issues remain unresolved: — restricted access to my unit — inability to bring a truck and trailer for removal of heavy items — pressure to sign release documents under time constraints — risk of disposal of property without clear consent Given the circumstances, I prefer to keep communication in writing for proper documentation.

  A fire started here today and they refuse to take any calls to give information on the current situation. No idea what units burned down, no way to find out. Definatly moving on to a different storage company. This is not how to handel a situation like this. Zero transparency.
