We did not use Master pools & spas. We waited for over a month for a bid and never got one. We did receive a basic drawing of pool only. Our bid was to be for entire yard. Pool, spa, outdoor kitchen, landscaping, patios, patio covers...... We never received a proposal for any of it. So we went with Teserra. We had really hoped to have gone with Master pools & Spas , Steve seemed to be a great guy.

We decided to add a pool to our back yard and were referred to Master Pools and Spas, and Steve Hanousek by our realtor. Steve was prompt on the initial consult, design and bidding. He was professional with his pricing and approach, and thought through every detail of a complex process (we are in an HOA, so there was an added level of complexity. Putting in a pool and hot tub is a big enough challenge - but try doing it during COVID. Lack of labor and materials was the situation everywhere. Steve and his team were exceptionally professional throughout the entire job and the end product is beautiful. Any time we had a question, Steve answered promptly and also many many personal trips to our house to oversee the job and answer questions. I'd highly recommend his company.

Did not use their service, because they did not have good reviews.. I asked around and every one I talked to informed me the Co. just does not respond to your concerns and/or complaints.

Back in Nov. 2015, I spent over $29,000 dollars to get my in-ground pool upgraded. I contacted Master Pools & Spas and spoke directly to the owner, Steve. I had them replace my old pool tile with new blue 6" tile squares, replace the white plaster with Tahoe Blue pebble tech and installed a new spa heater and salt filtration system. The company and crew were good and they did a good job. However, after my pool was up and running, I noticed a leak in my hot tub. The water level kept dropping daily. I contacted Steve about the problem. At the beginning, they came back to evaluate the cause. It took them several months to discover that the leak was occurring from a lower step in the hot tub. They drained the water and removed the step by chipping it out with a small jack hammer tool. Steve then had his crew pour more pebble tech in the hot tub to cover the hole. I suggested that it would be better to remove ALL the hot tub pebble tech and cover it again with one seamless application. However, Steve said that would not be necessary. Once the repair was made and the area cured, they refilled the hot tub with water. However, I started noticing the hot tub was leaking again just like before. So, I recontacted Master Pool & Spas and complained that my hot tub was still leaking. They came back out and after re-testing all the lines and letting several months pass, nothing was done by them to fix the problem. I figured that the to seams, where the old and new pebble tech came together was the cause of the leak. I was right. This whole project took over a year. I ended up solving the problem by purchasing some high quality epoxy pool paint and sealing the seam and painting the bottom of the hot tub. I was going to inlay a mural, but haven't gotten around to it. Otherwise, I fixed the problem. But, in order for the problem to be corrected, Master Pools & Spas would have had to remove ALL the pebble tech in the hot tub again and lay on a new seamless coating. That of course would have cost more money for Master Pools & Spas and set back their schedule. I could have sued the company, but did not want to waist my time. I did solve the problem using the epoxy pool paint. So my recommendation after all this, don't use Master Pools & Spas. Look elsewhere for a more reliable company to re-do your pool. Steve the owner talks a good talk, but does do the walk. I'll never recommend their services to anyone.
