Today I went to copy a house key and was surprised that there is a new charge to have the key smoothed out. After receiving my key, I wonder what this is all about. The new keys are extremely roughly cut with lots of shavings left around the teeth, and I’m worried that they won’t even work. As it is, getting one single key has gone up two dollars since about a year ago, and I believe the smoothing charge is about three more dollars. It’s really disheartening, and it just isn’t going to make sense anymore to use their service. I’m going end up going back to the hardware store to get this done properly. :/
