  I never thought I would be writing a poor La-Z-Boy review. I always thought they were supposed to be the gold standard. However, their poor business practices are indefensible. We needed a replacement bolt (the one that connects one sectional to another). If you know our model, there is only one possible bolt that would serve this purpose and can't cost more than 10 or 20 cents. Customer service happily offered to send us the bolt. After a month or two, we reached out to the Fairfield store and they said we needed to pay $75 for a tech to come out and $125 for labor just to identify the part. They would ship the part later. After months of back and forth emails (16) and clear descriptions with 7 photographs from various angles and annotations to explain a quintessential piece of hardware that makes their furniture work (no ambiguity left), they still demanded a tech come out. After looping in regional and corporate level slime, it has become clear that short-term revenue from nickel and diming would be lifetime customers is all a part of the business model. I mean, meeting next quarter's forecast is so much more appealing that long-term customer retention, right? La-Z-Boy has lost our family's business. I will evangelize this lesson from the highest mount and as loud as I can to all who are willing to listen till the day I die. All for ten cents... and so Taylor Luebke can hit target this quarter.

  Never imagined I would be writing a letter of disaffection to Lazy Boy furniture but I really would rather put myself out there in hopes that than no one else might have a similar experience. After much consideration I excitedly purchased the Duo, Sofa and Loveseat from Lazy Boy 5111 Business Center Dr, Fairfield, CA 94534 My experience was good and delivery was even before expected. This was indeed a huge purchase for us at over 6000.00 for the pair. My concern started shortly after when i noticed all the pillows were pilling on the pillows and arms of the couches. Now because there was only a one year warranty on them I was concerned about the level of care I might receive from Lazy Boy. but because my Husband and I travel upward of four months out of the year and it is only myself that sits on the furniture. (He has his own recliner) I assumed there would be some concern on there end at how the furniture was wearing. Much to my surprise I wasn’t even politely quoted the warranty, dismissing the fact that they had only been used half of that warranty time. I am majorly concerned about how this is going to go moving forward. At that price point I would have expected so much better. I will not shop lazy boy ever again. The customer care I contacted was so bad I’m not confident I will ever receive compensation but hopefully this will make customers think twice.
