An older employee named Patricia (appeared to be in her upper 60s) was extremely rude and unprofessional, especially toward my 2.5-year-old daughter. My daughter was simply looking inside a display tent and asked if she could go inside. I told her she could look, and at that moment Patricia walked directly up to her, got down to her level, aggressively began to adjust the front of the tent, and loudly scoffed and said, “The tent isn’t for going inside to.” Her tone and facial expression were so hostile that my daughter immediately burst into tears. There was absolutely no reason to speak to a toddler this way. Patricia looked visibly irritated, unhappy, and acted as if she hated her job. A simple polite reminder to me, the parent, would have been appropriate — not confronting a small child. This behavior is unacceptable from any employee, especially in a family-oriented store. I hope management addresses this, because no parent should have to deal with an employee startling and upsetting their child. I will reconsider shopping here again unless this location improves its customer service and staff conduct.
