We had a new fridge delivered today, and when the delivery team brought it into the kitchen I mentioned that we had requested the doors open from the right side. Instead, they were set to open from the left. The response I got was an immediate and emphatic “No, that’s not in our notes.”
Here’s the thing: I’m not particularly concerned about what is or isn’t in your notes. The request was made when the order was placed. What surprised me was the amount of time spent arguing about whether the request existed, when that same amount of time could have been used to simply swap the doors. The tools were already there, the fridge was already in place, and the solution was straightforward.
Instead, the focus seemed to be on proving the customer wrong rather than fixing the problem. Whether the mistake happened in the order system or somewhere along the way doesn’t really matter to me. What does matter is basic professionalism and a willingness to solve an issue when it’s right in front of you.
Unfortunately, this delivery experience fell far short of that. This should not be the standard for service, it will be the last time we order from this store.

I had purchased a PitBoss smoker in September 2025. There was a control panel malfunction that affected the hopper and started a small fire within the hopper. After calling PitBoss they recommended returning it to Lowe’s. Unfortunately it was outside the return window but thankfully I had the recommendation from PitBoss. Aaron the receiving manager was extremely helpful in handling the process with PitBoss. Aaron was able to walk through the exchange process and help load it up. All with a smile on his face.
