  I love this place! Wife and I have used it for years and never had any issues whatsoever. Staff is extremely nice, and the site manager (I believe her name is Jax?) is such a sweet person and very professional. The facility is always clean and well lit, and we’ve never had to worry about security issues here. Nothing but positives all around, I HIGHLY recommend this place! Thank you so much for your help, Jax!

  Avoid Extra Space Storage at the Concord location. They raised my rent from $173 to $273 — almost a 60% increase — and tried to pass it off with a “postcard” that looks like junk mail. I never received anything, and when I questioned it, they admitted it was only a 30-day notice. That’s a problem, because increases over 10% require 60 days notice in California. When I brought that up, the manager flat out said she didn’t want to look up the law and didn’t care. Let that sink in. So now I’m stuck paying a significantly higher rate just to avoid being locked out of my unit, which contains equipment for my business. This isn’t just bad customer service — it’s careless and borderline predatory. If you rent here: • Expect major price hikes • Don’t expect proper notice • Don’t expect management to care when you raise legitimate concerns There are plenty of storage options out there. I would not trust this place with anything important Update: I have already contacted the onsite Manager and escalated it to the DM as well as emailed customer service sighting the California requirements for rent Increases. I will definitely call the number provided to see if we can get a resolution because I am a reasonable person but I attempted all of this before posting this review and have been largely ignored and stonewalled. 2nd Update- Called the number provided and it went straight back to the onsite manager who I believe has done everything in her power to have the company follow the law. She said she will contact her DM again and told me they take the law seriously but apparently that does not mean they will follow it. We will see if anything changes but I am not holding my breath.
