I purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher at the Concord CA store on 1/10/26. It was delivered on 1/14 by Premier Logistics.
During the second running of the dishwasher, the lower rotating wash arm came away from its housing and the connector melted against the heating coil, making it unable to be reconnected. I called the Lowe’s store to ask what I should do to get it fixed, but was left on hold and eventually told to call back. I also attempted to call Premier, but as it was a weekend, no one answered my call. I came back to the store the following weekend and was told by the Lowe’s employee in the major appliances area that I needed to contact the manufacturer. Thinking this couldn’t be correct information (why wouldn’t Lowe’s take responsibility for an appliance they just sold?), I reached out via via your website through chat feature and was told by an agent, “Upon checking I see that since the manufacturer warranty is still active - the protection plan is not active yet, it will be active once the manufacturer warranty ends. So unfortunately contacting manufacturer is the only option available.”
After attempting to call Whirlpool and left on hold for over 40 minutes, I ordered a replacement arm from a third party website, as I could NOT find the replacement arm available on the manufacturer’s website.
I finally was able to contact someone today at Whirlpool, who is sending a technician out to look at the dishwasher and install the damaged part, but of course, I’ll have to wait two weeks for my appointment. And, they will not reimburse me for the expense of the third party part.
I estimate that I have spent at least 6 hours of my personal time, trying to get an issue fixed that I did not create and would not expect after spending over $1,000 for an appliance and an extended warranty policy.
As you might imagine my feelings of frustration are high at this point and no longer trust Lowe’s - or Premier Logistics. I will be spending my home improvement dollars elsewhere moving forward.
I thought you should at least know what the customer experience can be like. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.

I have called to get some information, after 30 min trying to get through AI assistance, finally was able to speak to someone, I asked for information about a plant, in which very rudely the rep totally ignored my questions and said let me transfer you. Poor customer service

APPLIANCES HAVE ZERO WARRANTY. Have you ever heard such a thing? I bought a brand new dryer and paid for delivery. Once I set it up an started using it, it never worked. I went back to Lowe’s to try to swap it out because clearly they sold me a WHIRLPOOL LEMON. They said they wouldn’t take it back and made me call the manufacturer for service. I did and once the service company came out THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME TO FIX THIS LEMON. I went off!!!!
