He said he was only minute away. Finally he showed up. We had purchased 2 door locks and a deadbolt to replace the ones we had. He quoted us 29 dollar service call and $99 for job. I reminded him the lady that answered my original call offered me 10% new customer discount. I asked the technician if that price included the discount and he said yes. He finished the job ( we didn’t know until he left the the two doorknob locks were installed *upside down*) and he said total was $322????? I said you told me 29 plus $99. He said, mind you job is now done, oh no, it’s 99 per lock?? What??? And then he provided me a Venmo acct for payment. I do the Venmo confirmation and show him. He calls his “manager” who says Venmo not received. I call me bank to try to block Venmo transaction and all of a sudden he says oh oh it’s ok, the manager just got the Venmo payment. I feel completely misled about the cost of the job that he quoted. If I knew it was over $300. If I had been told either by lady who took my original call or correctly communicated by technician upon his arrival, I would have canceled and just paid the 29 service call. I am just very upset about the entire situation with the technician.
