- NJNick Jones1 day ago1.0I had a negative experience with Aptive/Adaptive’s cancellation and billing practices. Service started 6/24/2025. The door-to-door salesperson represented that although it was an 18-month plan, I could cancel after 3 months with no penalty. After months of treatments I still had ants, so I called to cancel on 1/9/2026. They said they would cancel but then said I’d be charged a $199 cancellation fee. I clearly stated multiple times that I did not authorize that charge and asked for a manager; the representative refused to provide a name and disconnected the call. My card was still billed $199 on 1/12/2026. I called back the same day and a supervisor refused to refund it, stating it was “in the contract.” I recommend getting all cancellation terms in writing and reading the fee section carefully before signing or providing a card
