If you're a weekend builder or a contractor, maybe it will work for you, but I was waiting for service while three other salespeople were chatting casually. I had to interrupt their conversation to ask for a product. The service is inefficient, perhaps that's why the competition is so much more successful. Not to mention their blue products that clearly don't work.

I purchased a Pella door through Lowe’s with clear specifications and delivery/installation expectations. What followed was an installation process that took over 11 months to complete and required the delivery of four separate doors before the order was finally fulfilled correctly.
The first three doors delivered did not meet the terms of the order. Each incorrect delivery resulted in additional delays, rescheduling, and extended periods of inactivity. Progress only occurred after persistent and repeated follow-up on my part. This was not a minor scheduling issue—it was a prolonged failure to deliver the correct product within any reasonable timeframe.
I escalated the matter and spoke directly with a manager. Unfortunately, no meaningful resolution or corrective plan was offered. The only proposal made was a $300 Lowe’s gift card, contingent upon my agreement to forfeit the installation warranty. I declined this offer, as giving up warranty protections in exchange for minimal compensation does not address the severity or duration of the issues.
This experience fell far short of expectations for a premium product and professional installation. Customers should proceed cautiously and ensure timelines, specifications, and warranty protections are explicitly protected.

Really disappointed in Lowe’s. Especially this particular location. There was an incident some months back where I simply wanted plywood cut in 3 cuts. In case anyone didn’t know, Lowe’s will do it for you. I asked a guy in the lumber section if he could help. I believe his name was John. Long story short, John did not like that I asked for help and basically blew up on me. This resulted in a shouting match between the two of us in the middle of the store where he threatened to assault me. He also shouted vulgar slurs at me and once again threatened me- because I asked if someone could cut a piece of plywood for me. I brought it to the manager’s attention, he thanked me and assured me he’d take care of it. They gave me a small discount to shut me up and send me on my way. After talking with other employees, apparently this wasn’t his first offense and he’s done this to other customers and employees. It appeared to me that he no longer worked there and I felt like I could continue shopping there in peace. Until the other day when I saw him back in the lumber area working. Looks like Lowe’s cares more about keeping their aggressive employees than the safety of their customers. Despite living 2 miles west of this location, I’ve decided to immediately give my business to Home Depot rather than Lowe’s. To me, it’s worth the extra 15 minute drive than to give this location my hard earned money any longer. Bonus to everyone reading: GO COMPARE LOWES AND HOME DEPOTS PRICING. Lowe’s is WAY overpriced.
