Thanks for going above and beyond on vacuum repair service.
Go see Johnny he’s the man! The store is full of vacuums that have been repaired because he not only has the best prices I checked around but more importantly he does a great job!

We took a carpet cleaner in. The cleaner was not that old but it broke down. The guy at the shop, Johnny, gave us a ticket and said it would be about a week. A week went by, but we didn't hear back from them. I called, and he told us it couldn't be fixed and we should just buy a new one. He asked if we wanted him to dispose of the old one for us. We said yes.
We then spent over $300 on a new one from a different brand. My wife used it a few times, and then one of the belts snapped. So, we ordered replacement belts, but weren't able to figure out how to install them correctly. So, we brought that machine in. The new belt was inside, just not installed correctly, but in one piece. Johnny, called us a week later and said the pump had froze up and couldn't be fixed without replacing it. He said we should buy a new one, and asked if we wanted him to, again, dispose of this one. We said no, and called the manufacturer. They told me what Johnny had told us was not correct and that we just needed to install the belt correctly and it should work. I called Johnny and told him we would pick our cleaner up. When we got it home, the brand new belt we bought was mysteriously cut... and I mean an obviously clean cut. There is something really fishy going on with these guys.
Oh, and by the way, everyone, Bissell has a 5 year warranty on all of their carpet cleaners. We finally had time, ordered a new set of belts, and managed to figure out how to install the needed belt ourselves, and it now works fine.

Go here before buying your next vacuum cleaner! I know you want to just read reviews and buy online or at some big box store. But why not treat yourself to the advice of someone who repairs them all of the time? I was ready to shell out big appliance money for a new Miele. I've had two Miele canister vacs, and the oldest one (at least 18 years old) was still going strong (the newer one did not last half that long). Except in the middle of house cleaning the 18-year old's motor stopped working. Well, it was a good life little buddy. We read the Consumer Reports reviews and headed to Best Buy, but oops, they don't stock Miele. On a whim I called Ace, which happens to be open on Saturdays. "Do you have a new Miele canister," I asked, "I'm replacing an 18-year old workhorse?" The owner replied "Well, yes, but you don't want it. You want a real German machine, such as Sebo. Miele is now mostly made in China and will last just about its 3-year warranty period, or often less. Sebo is warranteed for 10 years, but you will not need to replace it that soon." We zipped over (loosely speaking, given Saturday afternoon LA traffic) and the cool Ace throwback shop was full of interesting new vacuum cleaners and new and used sewing machines, including some old metal sewing machines just like I used to use in a factory setting, wishing I could bring one home. And three models of Sebo canister vacs all for less than the cheapest Miele. Since we don't have any carpet, the owner recommended the lowest-cost model. Are you kidding me? No upsell? We gave it a practice run - what a zippy little machine - and brought it home to finish our weekend house cleaning. This is the type of business that deserves your effort. I mean you'd drive to Best Buy, so just drive to Ace Vac and Sew! They also sell online, if you really want to go that way. Our cute Sebo is so lightweight, and easy to maneuver, and it sucked up all of the cat hair covering our hardwood with no problem. Thank you Ace Vac and Sew!
These guys are Great!service with a smile every time I've been there ! Quickly refurbished my antique sewing machine! Highly recommend!
