Trying to find specific items in the many aisles can be challenging unless you have been there many times. Rona website might indicate present inventory but those items might be held in warehouse pallets inaccessible until they have a forklift operator available to assist.

He went above and beyond as the item will be picked up at another store on island. He probably won't get commission on this. Made multiple calls, helped me as I'm bad at tech. I have purchased many things from this and other Rona locations. Anyways, he warmed my heart in a time of stress (many areas in life atm). Just gives me hope in humanity. The other guy at the desk (countertops)was also friendly and helpful- missed seeing his name tag.

I checked the B&D website and it stated, "How to Claim Your Warranty/Retailer Exchange: Return the heat gun to the store where you bought it within their specific return window, bringing your proof of purchase." Check. Should be easy, right? I was very wrong. At the store, they said they do not take back used or open box items. I was stunned because how can a product be deemed defective is it is not used. I didn't just change my mind. Another employee wanted me to get an RMA number from B&D before they could take it back - but they did not seem too interested in doing this either. I called Black and Decker and they indicated, "we are unable to issue an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number for retailer returns. Return and exchange decisions, including any RMA requirements, are handled directly by the retailer according to their return policy." Rona was once a respected Canadian company. I just found out that Rona is another American private equity casualty so it is just another faceless American corporation. The adage here is pay now or pay later applies. Don't but anything from Rona high value or that may need to be returned.

How do I know if my order is ready to be picked up?
When you order online, choose the option “Pick-up in store“ at checkout. You will receive an email confirming that your order is ready. Use the Pick-Up Scheduler to select the time slot that suits you. Park in one of the designated Curbside Pick-up spots, call the store, and an associate will bring your order to your vehicle. Is my online order confirmation page considered an official receipt?

How do I know that truck/van is available for rental at RONA+ location?
If you see a truck or van parked at the store, that’s the first sign that it’s available for rent. To save yourself a trip, you can call the RONA store’s customer service desk ahead of time to confirm availability. Rentals are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
How do I qualify for the vehicle rental?
To rent a vehicle, you must:
> Be at least 21 years old
> Hold a valid full driver’s license (not a graduated license)
> Provide proof of insurance in your name
> Present a major credit card
NOTE: For the Province of Saskatchewan, the customer must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license.
Do RONA+ charge deposit for the truck/van rental?
A deposit of $500 for all rentals will be charged before we rent the van to a valid credit card. After inspection deposit will be refunded less the rental fee when customer return the van/truck.
How do I pay for the truck/van rental?
We accept all major credit cards.
Please note that cash, checks, gift cards, money orders, or prepaid visa cards are NOT accepted as payment for vehicle rentals. Store associates do not receive discounts on truck rentals and are charged the same rental fee as the customer.
Do RONA offer insurance for the vehicle rental?
At this time, RONA+ does not provide rental insurance. You’ll need to use your own liability insurance that covers non-owned vehicle rentals. Please make sure the proof of insurance is under the renter’s name.
What is your return policy for truck / van rental?
Returns are simple! When you bring back the vehicle, we’ll do a quick walkaround inspection and check the fuel gauge. As long as the vehicle is in the same condition and fuel level as when you rented it, you’re good to go.
