We had an excellent experience at The Brick. We purchased beautiful couches, and the entire process was smooth and enjoyable. Not great. Challenging post sales support over the phone. I had to come in person to get anyone’s attention. We bought a microwave with incorrect dimensions stated on website, and it would not fit in our space. They claimed it was final sale, which is not in accordance with consumer law if an item is sold based on incorrect info. I got it resolved, but it was stressful and took forever.
I bought a sofa here last year as well, which was an even more frustrating experience than this was.

I had a very disappointing experience with Heidi at Brick South Surrey.
On May 1st, I purchased a sofa for approximately $2,100 and made a $1,000 deposit. Before placing the order, I specifically explained that I had guests arriving from overseas and needed the couch before their arrival. Heidi assured me that the sofa would be delivered during the third week of May.
I was told that my order had been placed and that someone from the store would contact me a few days before delivery to collect the remaining balance. As the expected delivery date approached and I had not received any calls, I contacted Heidi for an update. She reassured me that she would arrange for someone from accounts to contact me.
When I finally received that call, I was shocked to learn that my order had never actually been placed because the remaining balance had not been paid. This was the first time anyone had mentioned that full payment was required before the order would be submitted. To make matters worse, I was then informed that the delivery date for the same sofa had been pushed back to July 12th—almost two months later than originally promised.
This experience felt extremely misleading. It appears that promises were made to secure the sale, but the actual process and timelines were not communicated accurately. While I was eventually offered a small store credit because of the mistake, a credit is of little value when you urgently need the item and have planned around the promised delivery date.
Fortunately, I took my business elsewhere and visited ScanDesign. After explaining the situation, they quickly sourced a higher-quality couch from Kelowna and delivered on their commitment. In the end, I received a better product and significantly better customer service than what I experienced at The Brick.
I hope management reviews how customer expectations are being set. Clear communication and honesty are far more valuable than making promises that cannot be fulfilled.

Can I cancel my order and get a refund?
Yes. You may cancel your order by visiting any Brick location. Purchases made online and in store are refundable at any time prior to product delivery or pick up. Refunds are made only to the same credit or debit card used to pay for the order. Cash payments will be refunded to a debit card or via cheque and mailed to the person who paid for the order. Deposits on Special Order items are non-refundable.
Can I get my deposit refunded in cash if I paid in cash?
Unfortunately, not every Brick store will have enough cash on hand or the exact dollar amount required to refund your deposit in cash. We're happy to refund cash payments to a debit card, or via a cheque made out to the individual listed on the invoice.

An extended warranty can be added during the purchase process in store or online. Or if you've already completed an online order and decided you want to add a warranty, you can visit a Brick store to purchase a warranty up to 30 days after receiving your product. You can add a warranty to a product during the first step of the online checkout process. When you check out, you'll be asked if you want to add a warranty to each eligible product. You can either select 'Protect All Products' at the top of the warranty section, or specify which level of coverage you want for each individual product. When you have selected the preferred warranty for your item(s), click the 'Continue' button in the lower right corner of the page to continue with the checkout process. Our Premium Delivery Service is available in most areas. For areas not served by The Brick's delivery team, we contract third-party courier and shipping companies.
