    My family and I like this location and go here regularly. The staff on the floor are always helpful and generally friendly, although some of the cashiers you can tell aren't interested in being there (younger kids wanting to get off and go for the most part it seems hahaha). They always have a great selection of items in every department, and we've been able to do 90% of our renovations, household fixes, summer decorating and flower/plant shopping here over the years. For a home hardware store, it has a good selection and availability, while being less overwhelming than the bigger stores. Pricing is also comparable and they have lots of sales on throughout the year on big items, and discounts regularly on everyday items. Can't ask for much more. Although parking can be rough, especially on a weekend, and especially during the warmer months when people are shopping there more often for outdoor projects. They definitely need more spots, but it's just not possible with that area/location. Recommend this Rona for sure for those in the area.

    Worst Customer service Been there twice and not a single time we were offered any kind of help. You have to chase them. The women from the garden section saw that we were looking at deck tiles and as soon as I approached her for a question she did not even let me talk and started repeating herself that these are too heavy and it’s not her job to help us with it while I only wanted to know the price of them since it was not mentioned!! We went back this time to get the tiles even though the service was absolutely terrible but we did not have time to go to a different location since the maple ridge one is the closest. We spent almost $1300 and again the experience was very awful. This time the young guy was trying to find us the trims for the tiles and said that he couldn’t find them means they don’t have the products and even his system said 0 in stock, while online it showed 14 in stock at this same location after we checked ourselves. We managed to find them ourselves and bought them too. The cashier looked like she wasn’t having a good day and was ready to leave. No thank you for our purchases and didn’t even asked if we found what we were looking for. I have been in the customer service industry for 15 years and this is not how you treat your customers. Your employees are either not happy to be doing this job or maybe just lazy to help out. You guys need to hire people who are willing to work and also happy to assist customers. If you chose to do this job do it like you want to there, people are spending so much money and not getting the service they deserve!!! Maple ridge Rona is definitely a location I will NEVER RECOMMEND!!! Not even worth a single star!!

    27APR, 8:00pm. Was helped by a young woman at customer service (black and white hair) and a young man in the lumber years. I should have gotten their names... Both were cheery, polite, AND helpful. They both obviously take pride in their job, and RONA should be proud to have them as employees.

    I had a really great experience at RONA Maple Ridge. There was a worker in the lumber section named Weyhe J (I hope I spelled it right). He was operating the forklift and honestly went above and beyond to help me load my lumber. He was very kind, patient, and made the whole process super easy. It’s not every day you meet someone who genuinely cares about helping customers like that. He definitely deserves recognition (and honestly, a raise). More people like him would make a big difference.

    We purchased a washer and dryer from Rona 2 months ago and the unit was extremely disappointing, there was not enough water even on the max fill option, no hot water coming through, thinking it was hooked up wrong we were later told by the technicians it’s just the design and they are built this way even though advertised differently. After speaking to Frigidaire about our concerns and wanting to exchange for a different brand they refused to help us and just sent multiple techs in to tell us it’s just the design so offered solutions like, wash your clothes in cold water and do smaller loads (not the response you want after purchasing a brand new appliance) we decided to go back to Rona to see if there is anything they could do since Frigidaire was completely useless. We had an amazing experience with Daniel. He truly listened to our concerns and went above and beyond by helping us return a unit we were really unhappy with. He provided us with a credit toward a new Maytag machine, which completely turned things around for us! Daniel was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and helpful—exactly what you hope for when dealing with a frustrating purchase. His customer service was outstanding, and because of him, we’ll be loyal Rona customers forever! Thank you, Daniel—your effort and care definitely did not go unnoticed!
