Clark was quick to help in finding me discounted furniture! Great shop, I felt like I was a pirate robbing the place because of how cheap the prices were!

Great customer service. Clark was very helpful. However I didn’t see him last time I went by…whatever he’s up to these days, I wish him well!

I purchased a bed frame and, after assembling it, realized that it was of poor quality and extremely noisy. I decided to return it to the store. When I reviewed the return policy, I saw that I had 60 days to return the item as long as it was in good condition and I had the receipt. Before disassembling the bed and transporting it back to the store, I contacted customer service to confirm the policy. Unfortunately, the process turned into a major hassle. When I called customer service, they simply transferred me to the store. As soon as the store staff understood that I wanted to return the bed, they firmly told me that they would only provide store credit, not a refund. I explained that I had purchased the bed only a week earlier and that, according to the company’s return policy, I had the receipt and was entitled to a full refund. Despite this, the store manager, Elivia, insisted that they could only offer store credit or an exchange—no refund. I contacted customer service again, and to my surprise, when I explained what the store had told me, the customer service representative, Debbie, responded, “It’s up to the store. It’s up to the store manager.” I found it difficult to understand how a company of this size, with so many locations, could allow individual stores to interpret and apply return policies differently. I did not purchase the item from an individual; I purchased it from a company. There should be one consistent return policy that all locations follow. When I contacted customer service once more and read the return policy directly from the company’s website, they placed me on hold, contacted the store, and then informed me that they had explained the policy to the store and that I could proceed with the return. To be fair, customer service ultimately helped resolve the issue, and I was able to return the item and receive a refund. However, the way I was treated by the manager at the Barnet Highway store in Coquitlam was disrespectful, and the repeated response from customer service that “it’s up to the store” reflected a lack of professionalism and consistency within the company. The fact that not all locations appear to follow the same policy created a frustrating and disappointing experience. After being a loyal customer for years, I have decided that I will no longer shop with this company because of its inconsistent policies and poor customer experience.

I uh.. fell into these rooms? So many different places. I saw things. Indescribable things down there. I can't do it anymore. I can't. Damp floor. Immense humming. I uh.. saw some things. A pirate, skeletal standing things? I don't wanna be here anymore.

I had never been in any JYSK stores before now. I just was looking for a comfortable chair cushion for my camping chair. Forget Canadian Tire. Forget Home Depot. Forget Rona. And most of all, forget IKEA. All these stores had nothing suitable. Enter JYSK... In minutes of walking through the door, I found a huge selection of seat cushions, including the exact one I was hoping to find. Thickly padded with a high quality covering that I expect will outlast the ones I saw elsewhere. The lady who took my money was cheerful and friendly for such a small sale. If I need anything else that you'd typically shop at IKEA for, I'm going to JYSK instead. You should check it out too!
