Appliance purchases can be a total nightmare. I was looking forward to our new Bosch dishwasher, but it arrived damaged. On top of that, we had a delivery window of 9 am - 1 pm. We got a call at 7:40 am that they were on their way to deliver and were about 20 minutes out. I prefer if they can honor the schedule they gave me so I can plan my morning and not rush to prepare the space and all. We called Customer Service after finding the appliance was damaged, and they could t offer any apology or reimbursement for our time or trouble. They just wanted to know if we still want a replacement unit or to cancel the order. I mean, I’m still out a dishwasher; so, yeah I need the appliance. And I paid for this one, so I’d just like one delivered that isn’t dented up already. And when I mention some kind of compensation they only mention that they won’t charge for delivery on the replacement (!) I already paid a delivery fee for something I haven’t actually received yet. Of course I’m not going to be paying another delivery fee. That’s not a reimbursement. That’s common sense. So, hopefully the dishwasher itself works whenever I get it. But as for Lowe’s, it’s a giant corporate store that could care less if you’re satisfied with their service. So, order delivery at your own risk. I’d advise trying some place else unless you also want to go through the hassle I did. There are better options. Try those out first before you cave and resort to these guys.

Lowe’s on Rosedale in Bakersfield has quickly become my #2 go‑to home improvement stop # 1 is my Colony Street location .. because the selection genuinely rivals what you find at Home Depot, from lumber and hardware to fixtures and garden supplies.
The difference that really stands out is the staff: the employees here at Lowes consistently seem more knowledgeable, willing to walk you through options, and actually help you solve problems instead of just pointing you down an aisle.
On my last visit, the checkout system was having issues processing my military discount, which always turns into a long, frustrating experience , scanning the ID is painful here (Lowes needs to fix this, quick) Instead, Gabby stepped in, stayed patient, and worked through the glitch until everything was applied correctly and my purchase went through. Her professionalism and positive attitude made a huge difference and turned what has been a headache since they started the self checkout process. Gabby made it into a smooth finish to my shopping trip.
Overall, this Lowe’s offers better (always in stock) selection with better service, and thanks to employees like Gabby, it feels like a store that genuinely values its customers—especially those using a military discount.
