  Terrible Service and Lack of Communication – Deeply Disappointed I’ve had a standing account with Clark’s Pest Control and was a satisfied customer—until recently. I used to have a great technician, Nick, who was communicative and respectful. We always coordinated service visits, and I appreciated that I could text him directly about any issues. I even paid for the entire year upfront just to avoid dealing with monthly billing (since Clark’s, oddly, doesn’t allow autopay). A few months ago, Clark’s switched the technician assigned to my home without notifying me. One day, someone new (Christopher) just showed up unannounced. That was my first red flag, but I let it slide. Then, I had a serious issue with yellow jackets in my backyard. I sent Christopher a message explaining the problem, along with a photo, and asked for advice. I specifically said I was concerned about a possible ground nest, didn’t feel safe mowing the clover, and was worried about my dog getting stung. Instead of replying, he showed up the next day and treated my entire yard—including the clover lawn—without discussing it with me first. This was reckless. My dog often eats the clover and could’ve been seriously harmed by the chemicals. The spray may have ultimately been the right solution, but that decision should have involved me—especially when it affects my pet’s health and requires me to keep her out of the backyard for days. No heads-up. No consent. No discussion. I meant to follow up and complain, but I’ve been overwhelmed with work. Then, out of nowhere, I received a message from a third-party debt collector saying I owed money to Clark’s. Apparently, my large prepayment hadn’t quite covered the latest service—which, again, I hadn’t requested or agreed to. No one from the company reached out. No call, no email. Just a debt notice. I find this absurd and completely inappropriate, especially given how minimal the remaining balance was. So I finally called Clark’s to cancel my account and ask for that unauthorized service to be removed from my bill. I spoke to two separate people—explained the entire story twice—and both times they told me they could help. But after wasting my time, both transferred me elsewhere. I was told the branch manager would call me back within 24 hours. It has now been five days—still no call. This is not how you treat loyal customers. What used to be a responsive and trustworthy service has become careless, disorganized, and dismissive. They endangered my pet, billed me for a service I didn’t approve, sent my info to collections without a single courtesy call, and then wasted my time on the phone without resolution. Clark’s Pest Control has completely lost my trust - and my business.

  I m really happy with their service especially the guy who came to my home very nice and friendly even they don’t need to remind for service. I strongly recommend everyone to use their service.

  your website SUCKS! You ELIMINATE Bakersfield customers from not only being able to PAY online, like all of Calif. is able to do, but you also won't even allow a Bakersfield customer to CREATE an acct. ONLINE....I enter my acct. number and it says I 'DON'T EXIST"!....after paying you people for over 3 yrs now for service! So what, your website is ONLY RESERVED FOR LA CUSTOMERS???

  A good friend recommended I call Clark Pest Control to solve a rat problem in my tomato garden. The area manager came by to assess my problem and set the traps himself. My problem was gone in just a few days. Thanks Clark!
