I’ve been going back and forth on making this review but I feel it’s important for customers to know what they are getting into when going to Rona. They have the absolute WORST customer service, I waited for over 30 mins for someone to help me, I was trying to speak with someone about why my order was cancelled when they clearly have all the items and when I finally spoke to the lady that was at customer service she said “because you can do it yourself.” I explained that I put this order in the day before, and I was in a time crunch and needed the specific amount of bricks I ordered and didn’t have time to count them out myself I had a job to get to and she yelled at me and told me that she didn’t know what she wanted her to do because it’s not my problem that I am lazy, I then requested to speak to the manager so she called Dishant over and he was even worse telling me he didn’t have time to help me, that he didn’t care, and that I can do it myself so I ended up leaving.
I would also like to note as I was standing there for over 30 mins waiting for someone to assist me I witnessed that lady at customer service yell at fellow employees telling them they were too slow, they weren’t doing a good enough job, that whoever Ken is will be very mad with them. I watched as that lady and Dichant made fun of, harassed and discriminated against the poor lady with a service dog that was trying to help me she was amazing her and I think his name was Tobyn and I think his name was Jos? I can’t remember they were all trying to help me, trying to get me away from the situation and assist. As the lady with the dog took me from the area to be able to hear what was going on and what I needed as she was really trying to rectify the issue and I 100% appreciate that Dishant yelled at her some pretty nasty things and same with the girl I could tell she was hurt, and after speaking with her I let her know I will make a new order and thanked her for her time the manager dishant and that lady at customer service started yelling at multiple other customers and it just seemed like everyone in this place were trying to put out the flames that dishant and this lady were making. I felt and still feel horrible for all of them, all the employees helping customers were amazing, to that lady with the service dog and the other young lady, and two gentleman trying to take control of the situation at customer service instead of standing back and watching those two horrible employees continue to yell at customers after they already had been yelled at and put down and told the most horrible things no employee should have to hear I APPLAUD you. You all did amazing, thank you for trying your best to make these customers experiences better and to whoever management is at this store I sincerely hope this whole yelling at customers and especially yelling at employees and putting them down INFRONT of customers really needs to end it’s making our experience worse and makes us feel even worse for the employees enduring this yelling, and being put down, and discrimination! No employee should have to deal with the mess a manager continues to make. I hope things get better at this store as I am a regular customer and normally go to the pro sales but there is no one there on the weekends. Your employees deserve better, multiple were left in tears.

Terrible experience today with a guy in flooring section. I was asking him for some advice on underlay. He knew less than me from his response but that wasn’t the worst part. I was the only one talking to him and asking him questions but he would only talk to the man I was with and wouldn’t look at me. I am a woman. I confronted him on this finally and his response was, “well who will be laying the flooring?”. I said “me”. This completely flustered him and he tried to tell me how complicated it is. I don’t think he has ever laid flooring before but I know I have. Can’t believe how sexist he was and no apology. Terrible.

Second day I go here and people at desk are horrible. The man and the girl with glasses yell at all customers tell them to do it themself and that they do not care do help. They more focus on looking at clothes website and phone. The man yell at me and my wife today and yesterday and the man yell at all employee tell them they worst employee and do not work and horrible person. The man and girl make fun of the employee with dog of service tell her she no need it laugh at her tell her she to slow to put dog in car to go fast. I feel bad for all people work here. I wish manager help employee and make it better place customer no like seeing employee yell at and same yell at customer

This store is the absolute worst to shop at. I went to pick up my online order today and checked in online for the curb side delivery and waited 5 minutes. Then I went inside and there was one employee running the customer service desk, one till that was open and the self checkouts too.
It would have been faster to grab the item off the shelf and check out than wait for my curbside delivery.
The store manager gave some wild excuses like they just changed over to the spring inventory and it was the end of the day which was outrageous. I’m shocked they consider it okay to drop their standards at the end of the day and are befuddled by a seasonal changeover. The manager had such a low comprehension of the situation it was frustrating to deal with. I feel bad for the store staff being led by such a person. It must be very frustrating! It certainly shows in the customer experience.
They also had an employee of the month sign above the customer service desk that has been sitting blank with no names on it for a while. It’s very fitting for this store.
Rona in Langford is so much better it’s hard to think they’re remotely related.

I had such an incredible experience today at RONA Tillicum, and I really want to recognize Abigail, the young lady working at the till near the paint department.
She was absolutely amazing. During the entire time I was there (over an hour), she seemed to be the only person consistently on the floor helping customers. She was running back and forth between the cash register, the contractor desk, and the paint department—helping everyone she could without missing a beat. She even mixed paint for me while still managing the till and assisting other customers at the same time.
Abigail was answering questions, directing people to the correct aisles, looking up product information, and checking in with everyone around her to make sure they were okay. She maintained such a positive attitude the entire time—always smiling, kind, and clearly doing her absolute best to support a very busy environment.
She also handled some difficult customer situations calmly and professionally, de-escalating with grace and patience. It was honestly impressive to watch how well she managed everything all at once.
However, I do feel it’s important to mention a concerning interaction I witnessed. When Abigail needed a manager for an override, she politely asked for assistance and apologized to me for the wait. The gentleman who came over, who I understand was a manager, was unfortunately quite rude—not only to me and other customers waiting for help, but also toward Abigail. He appeared frustrated, was short with everyone, and was visibly huffing and puffing. At one point, he directed frustration toward Abigail, asking “where’s any of the other managers?” while she was clearly doing everything she could to manage the situation on her own.
It was uncomfortable to witness, especially given how hard Abigail was working and how respectfully she was handling everything. She was apologizing and doing her best, and it didn’t feel fair for her to be spoken to that way in front of customers.
Despite that, she remained professional, kind, and composed throughout the entire interaction. That speaks volumes about her character and work ethic.
I also want to mention her service dog, who was incredibly well-behaved the entire time—another reflection of how put-together and professional she is.
Abigail truly went above and beyond today. She deserves recognition, appreciation, and proper support on the floor. Employees like her make a huge difference in the customer experience.
Thank you, Abigail, for your outstanding service—you did not go unnoticed.

To rent a vehicle, you must:

Do RONA+ charge deposit for the truck/van rental?
A deposit of $500 for all rentals will be charged before we rent the van to a valid credit card. After inspection deposit will be refunded less the rental fee when customer return the van/truck.
How do I pay for the truck/van rental?
We accept all major credit cards.
Please note that cash, checks, gift cards, money orders, or prepaid visa cards are NOT accepted as payment for vehicle rentals. Store associates do not receive discounts on truck rentals and are charged the same rental fee as the customer.
