I am updating my review due to a very disappointing after-sales customer service experience.
My delivery was scheduled for a Tuesday, ten days after my purchase. The delivery team arrived exactly during school pick-up time. I had informed the store in advance that we would be home all day waiting, but at 2:30 p.m., we needed to leave briefly to pick up our child from school.
Despite communicating this clearly, no effort was made to accommodate the situation or adjust the delivery window. As a result, the delivery was missed.
What made the situation worse was the lack of initiative to automatically reschedule the delivery. I had to personally visit the store to request a new date, which should not have been necessary. When I went there on Saturday, I was told they would reschedule only once more and that if we were not home, they would not offer another opportunity. They also stated they could not guarantee avoiding the school pick-up time again.
Most concerning was the dismissive attitude expressed during the conversation, including a comment suggesting they were not concerned about negative Google reviews. This response was unprofessional and disappointing.
After waiting ten days for delivery and making every effort to be available, I expected a more proactive, flexible, and customer-focused approach. Unfortunately, the after-sales experience has significantly affected my overall perception of the store.

We had a wonderful experience shopping at The Brick! We recently purchased a sofa and a mattress, and Raj assisted us throughout the process. He explained everything so clearly and took the time to answer all our questions with great patience.
What we appreciated most was his transparency — he made sure we understood all the details, options, and pricing without any pressure. It made the whole buying experience comfortable and stress-free.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at The Brick Surrey Central Mall. If I could give 0/5 I would.
I purchased a box spring for $144, and it arrived defective. I contacted the store within 24 hours — I called and also sent an email. I received no response. When I called again the next day, they claimed they never received my email. After I resent it, suddenly they “found” it and escalated my case to the manager.
The manager’s solution? They told me they don’t take back box springs and could only refund me $50. $50??? What about the rest of my money? Why should I lose nearly $100 for a defective product? I was left stuck with a damaged box spring and no proper resolution.
To make things worse, this is not my first bad experience with them. Previously, I bought a bed frame and the measurements were completely off — the parts didn’t align properly. When I requested a refund, they initially said they would refund the original payment method (like most stores in Canada do). Two weeks passed and I never received my refund. When I went back to the store, I was told they decided to issue store credit instead. I never agreed to store credit — I paid with my own money and expected it back the same way.
In the end, I had to donate the defective box spring because I couldn’t stand looking at it anymore. They also expected me to return it myself — I don’t even own a car. How exactly did they expect me to transport a box spring on a bus?
This has been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. This is my last purchase with The Brick — never again. I strongly advise others to think twice before spending their money here.

Can I cancel my order and get a refund?
Yes. You may cancel your order by visiting any Brick location. Purchases made online and in store are refundable at any time prior to product delivery or pick up. Refunds are made only to the same credit or debit card used to pay for the order. Cash payments will be refunded to a debit card or via cheque and mailed to the person who paid for the order. Deposits on Special Order items are non-refundable.
Can I get my deposit refunded in cash if I paid in cash?
Unfortunately, not every Brick store will have enough cash on hand or the exact dollar amount required to refund your deposit in cash. We're happy to refund cash payments to a debit card, or via a cheque made out to the individual listed on the invoice.
