Overall, we’ve been happy with our purchases from The Brick. We bought a Samsung fridge and stove, along with multiple pieces of furniture and electronics and the products have performed well with no issues. We were hoping to buy our children new beds and bedframes shortly here.
However, I’ve run into a frustrating situation regarding the extended warranty. I purchased a 5-year extended warranty for $439 and kept all the documentation I was provided at the time which was the receipt showing the warranty purchase.
At the time of purchase, I was told by the salesperson that this would be a refund at the end of the warranty period, and that I simply needed to contact the store when it expired. There was no mention of any deadline to claim it, nor was any additional paperwork provided outlining terms such as a 90-day window.
After realizing my warranty had expired a few months ago, I contacted the store and was informed that while they could locate my file, I had missed a 90-day period required to request the refund (which is now being described as store credit). When I questioned how I was supposed to know about this deadline, I was told over the phone that they do not provide warranty paperwork, and that the salesperson should have verbally explained the terms.
This is the core issue. I was not informed of any such deadline, and there was no written documentation provided. I was clearly told it would be a refund, with no mention of a limited claim period. Relying solely on verbal communication for important warranty terms, without providing anything in writing does not seem reasonable or fair to customers.
I’ve made multiple purchases from The Brick over the years and have always been satisfied, which makes this experience especially disappointing. I hope this situation can be reviewed and resolved fairly, as I would prefer to continue being a customer but that will depend on how this is handled moving forward.

I ordered a couch and paid for delivery. The new delivery app system was incredible. I knew exactly where the truck was and when to expect the delivery. Very cool. The delivery guys were very polite and courteous. Thank you Brick!

Can I cancel my order and get a refund?
Yes. You may cancel your order by visiting any Brick location. Purchases made online and in store are refundable at any time prior to product delivery or pick up. Refunds are made only to the same credit or debit card used to pay for the order. Cash payments will be refunded to a debit card or via cheque and mailed to the person who paid for the order. Deposits on Special Order items are non-refundable.
Can I get my deposit refunded in cash if I paid in cash?
Unfortunately, not every Brick store will have enough cash on hand or the exact dollar amount required to refund your deposit in cash. We're happy to refund cash payments to a debit card, or via a cheque made out to the individual listed on the invoice.

How do I add an extended warranty to my product?
An extended warranty can be added during the purchase process in store or online. Or if you've already completed an online order and decided you want to add a warranty, you can visit a Brick store to purchase a warranty up to 30 days after receiving your product. You can add a warranty to a product during the first step of the online checkout process. When you check out, you'll be asked if you want to add a warranty to each eligible product. You can either select 'Protect All Products' at the top of the warranty section, or specify which level of coverage you want for each individual product. When you have selected the preferred warranty for your item(s), click the 'Continue' button in the lower right corner of the page to continue with the checkout process. Where does The Brick deliver?
Our Premium Delivery Service is available in most areas. For areas not served by The Brick's delivery team, we contract third-party courier and shipping companies. Some products can also be shipped via Canada Post's shipping service. The Brick does not currently deliver or ship to anywhere in the United States, and online transactions from American customers cannot be accepted at this time.
