I rarely write reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my real experience from today.
I visited RONA north van today to look for a window screen. I spent quite some time walking around the store on my own and still couldn’t find what I needed. I asked three different employees for help and received three different answers. None of them proactively offered to assist or walk me to the item—just quick directions before moving on.
As a young woman, I’m honestly not familiar with the names of all these hardware parts and components, and without proper guidance, I felt quite lost and helpless in the store.
The experience completely changed when I met a male employee wearing safety glasses, whose name starts with N. He was friendly, patient, and professional. He personally walked me to the right area and helped me check the sizing. His service stood out immediately.
Although I didn’t end up purchasing the item, I truly appreciate his help. This five-star review is for him personally, not for the store overall. The store only deserves one star! He represents what excellent customer service should be.

I have been a North shore resident for years and shopped here many times due to convince. That being said, the service here is always horrible. Dumb policies regarding returns needing hard copy receipts, in 2025, a policy clearly 40 years old and no longer relevant other than to frustrate customers when all I need is a phone number at other stores. And grumpy service from almost every employee company wide.
