    Tonight I took my parents into the Brick to look for a few items for their new suite. I was hesitant to go in today as my experience with the Brick in the past was not always a positive one. However, I do believe in second and sometimes third chances ....and boy am I glad I did. We met Mitchell G. today and am I ever thankful we did. He was absolutely fantastic. He listened to my elderly parents needs, he spent the time to lead us to couches and beds and actually explained things in a non jargon way and it made my parents feel like their hard earned dollars were going to be spent fairly and reasonably on themselves and the right product for them. Mitchell treated my parents how they should be treated; he listened and respected their needs and then offered his professional advice on what he felt would work best for their budget and needs. ☆☆☆☆☆ for Mitchell....glad to see the Brick has you on their team...I hope they keep you around! As a daughter of the folks you helped today...thank you...thank you....you made it easy for us all and that is a huge win!

    Be very careful with Flexiti “4% back” promotions at The Brick. I purchased a refrigerator after being verbally told that I would receive 4% back on my purchase through Flexiti, issued at year end to my Flexiti card. This was presented as a monetary benefit and factored into my decision. I had the cash to pay it off immediately and avoid any interest so this weighed heavy on the deal. I sought clarification and specifically asked for the details to be confirmed in writing, since nothing had been provided at the time of sale. Instead of writing back they called me and staff reaffirmed the original sales explanation verbally. However, when I asked for that same explanation to be acknowledged in writing, they declined. When I summarized the verbal explanation myself in an email and asked for confirmation, it was not acknowledged. Later, when I actually arrive to receive this credit I am informed that the 4% is a "Brick Bonus Voucher" and can only be redeemed toward an additional purchase at the Brick within 90 days. (Not a credit to the flexiti card). I was also told that written policy takes precedence over verbal explanations and that customers are responsible for checking policy regardless of what is said at point of sale. So in other words, their sales team can be dishonest all they like. Given the nature of sales and the moral character of the team, I implore all customers to walk out the door unless they are willing to put their words on paper. Most contractors will agree Home Depot provides great customer satisfaction. It was unfortunate this purchase was an emergency purchase, but luckily it didn't cost me big $. Just know Home Depot gets my full support if you're going to purchase multiple appliances from a business that stands by their word and product.

    When I was let down by a company selling on Amazon, regarding the delivery of my new couch, I decided to go with the Brick to purchase my new couch. I got Canadiam made at under $1000 (incl taxes, delivery and fabric guard set). I could choose my delivery date, as well, this was convenient. This was all done online, by the way. Then a representative called me to confirm the delivery date, my name and address as well as to let me know that I would receive a call the day before to give me a 3hr window of time for the delivery. Instead of a call, I received an email; I could track the delivery which also showed how many stops previous to me and how far away those stops were. This allowed me to estimate the ETA even more accurately. I am more than happy with my purchase and the stellar customer service given!

    We ordered a bed, mattress, TV, and other items from the store on January 26. We were told that everything would arrive by the first week of February. During the first week of February, we received a call saying that everything had arrived except the TV, which would arrive on February 19. We were disappointed because we were promised delivery in the first week. We asked if February 19 was a confirmed date, but they said it was only an estimate and they were not sure. Later, we received another call where they told us that what we ordered for the bed was only the headboard, and we would have to come back and order the bed frame separately. We were shocked because nobody informed us about this earlier, and it felt like a negligence and way of ripping off a stuck customer. We were planning to buy more items like a sofa, dining table, and other furniture, but because of the poor service, we decided to cancel our entire order. The service was extremely disappointing. The Brick did not meet the standards they claim to have. They also never apologized for the time wasted and the harassment caused to us.

    I went in to look at mattresses with my husband. Being the one to pay, I started asking the questions. Before long, all the attention was on my husband and I felt like I didn’t exist. He was fitted for a pillow. Asked directly any questions or given answers. I had the intention of buying other things but being ignored I’ll look elsewhere for them. We did end up buying a mattress, my husband got his fitted pillow. I was happy that he was happy. Delivery was an hour early which was nice, however, I wasn’t home yet so my kids opened the door. Usually we take the door off and head up the stairs. The delivery guys bent the mattress around the railings, broke our hand rail and the plastic cover for the mattress. I do appreciate them bringing it upstairs but now we have repairs to do.
