    Nov5, 2025 edit/update I called "the owner" at their 866 number supplied. No one there actually has access to Google reviews so I had to send them screenshots of my review and their reply. WHAT??? i have to assume they think their reply is enough to fix a bad review and that no one (but me) actually calls to discuss it. So that is more of their incompetence at head office. I did manage to speak with the store manager, Rob. Now, HE was very good. Listened, was concerned, will investigate and explain to me what happened. Also note that I measured the veneer thickness with my micrometer (yes of course i have one!). 8/1000". That is substandard. Also the sku comes in as 3/4" plywood. Actual thickness now is 9/16 so that is considered 5/8 not 3/4. Mislabelled? Intentional or accidental? So for now, until i get a full explanation, be VERY careful of their products. Confirm by measuring things yourself. If you want quality, go to a locally privately owned lumber yard like Haney Builders, or Windsor Plywood in Langley. Neither have disappointed me in 40 yrs. If you need good quality, get Cabinet grade or Marine grade. I will provide more updates if/when Rona explains their findings to me. I am hopeful because I do like Rona and this store in particular. Great employees. Original post starts here: My son bought some plywood for me to make some complex cabinets. I require the FULL length, 96 inches, but their sanded plywood comes with blue paint on the edge that also extends onto the two sanded surfaces! I called to talk with the manager. Never bothered to give me a call back. This is the second time I have asked to speak with the store manager and twice NEVER got a call back. I just wanted to point out that they should tell the manufacturers to be careful with their marking and maybe not accept those pallets of oversprayed wood. I used it as garbage utility grade plywood and went elsewhere to buy quality grade. Just wanted the manager to know. BUT I guess they really do not care for feedback. I would have given a decent number of stars IF the manager had called but 36hr have gone by since my request for a call.

    I went today and found the staff very helpful. A nice young man (max) was so polite and very professional and helped me out to the car with my heavy purchase. Thank you.

    I was in the store recently and saw a customer being really rude to one of the employees, calling him a “joke” and “lazy.” It honestly made me uncomfortable to watch, but I was super impressed with how the employee handled it. He stayed calm, kept it professional, and just told the customer to “have a good day.” Even though the situation wasn’t pleasant, the way the employee responded showed a lot of class and professionalism. I really appreciated seeing that, and it left a great impression on me. I’ll definitely be coming back.

    Horrible service…. Cashier argued with me how to use my contractor card, told me he doesn’t need to scan card, he wanted the phone number. I told him I can’t remember the number as I’ve had this account for 15 plus years and my phone number has change. I said normally the cashier types in the account number. He said “nope, as he scanned my card, you don’t have an account” He could see my frustration, then he started to mock me by saying “hope you’re having a good day, Sir!” Over and over. As the line of people grew behind me. It was like he was trying to irritate and annoy me more, to get a reaction. The whole time he had a little smirk on his face.. Horrible experience!!!!
