TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE! I recently purchased a mattress from The Brick that was advertised as medium firmness, but it turned out to be far too soft. When I reached out about the issue, I was told I had to wait 21 days before I could receive a replacement due to store policy.
While I understand that some adjustment time may be needed for a mattress that feels too firm, the same does not apply to one that is too soft and if anything, it only gets softer over time. I explained that the mattress was causing me significant discomfort, including sciatica, hip, and back pain, and that I was forced to sleep on my couch during this period. Despite this, no flexibility or urgency was shown.
My experience with the sales associate, Adam, was especially frustrating. It was clear that once the initial sale was completed, customer care was no longer a priority to him. He was very pushy for the original sale, dismissive, rushed me during follow up phone calls, and didn’t seem to listen to my concerns. I made multiple attempts to follow up with the store to arrange the replacement delivery, and both Adam and customer service repeatedly told me they would call me back and yet I received no follow-up.
To make matters worse, I was never informed that replacing the mattress during the trial period would require me to pay an additional delivery fee of $100. On top of that, I was required to pay another $100 deposit just to reserve my replacement mattress even though my original purchase was of higher value and I already had a credit on file. I was told this amount would be refunded back on my card which it wasn’t!!! When I questioned the delivery fee, Adam told me the only way it could be waived was if I made another purchase from him specifically on another piece of furniture which just proves that all he cares about was commission on sales. At that point, given the poor service and lack of transparency from Adam about additional delivery fee charges, I had no interest in spending more money there and refuse to give them my business moving forward.
Overall, this experience highlighted how inflexible The Brick is as a company. Their policies leave no room for reasonable exceptions, even in situations involving customer discomfort and health concerns. Their refund and exchange policy is especially disappointing and makes the entire process far more frustrating than it should be. Based on how I was treated, I will not be returning as a customer!

Polite and friendly sales people, answered all questions. My only regret is they did not provide removal of any old furniture. Explained it was because of "safety" issues. I believe it was an excuse to avoid reclamation fees etc.

I gave The Brick a second chance after a bad experience years ago, and it was a mistake.
We ordered a dining table and chairs, along with a protection plan the salesperson kept pushing (and discounting heavily). Before delivery, they ignored my request to keep a small credit on my account and instead called my wife to push a donation while she was busy, which felt very questionable.
On delivery day, the crew damaged our wall and told us to deal with the store. Every single item delivered was scratched, dented, or defective. They also delivered the wrong care kit and said it was not their problem.
Customer service was extremely frustrating. They first offered $20 per damaged item instead of replacing them, claimed the damage was “antique,” and even suggested sending a marker so I could fix it myself. The protection plan turned out to be useless.
After hours on the phone, they replaced some items, but even the replacements arrived damaged. They refused a full refund, citing policy. Getting even a partial refund and dealing with the wall damage required going through multiple people and a third-party insurer offering far less than repair costs.
Overall, poor quality, poor service, and no accountability. I would strongly recommend buying furniture elsewhere.

Yes. You may cancel your order by visiting any Brick location. Purchases made online and in store are refundable at any time prior to product delivery or pick up. Refunds are made only to the same credit or debit card used to pay for the order. Cash payments will be refunded to a debit card or via cheque and mailed to the person who paid for the order. Deposits on Special Order items are non-refundable.
Can I get my deposit refunded in cash if I paid in cash?
Unfortunately, not every Brick store will have enough cash on hand or the exact dollar amount required to refund your deposit in cash. We're happy to refund cash payments to a debit card, or via a cheque made out to the individual listed on the invoice.
