- RKRip Karpy2 days ago4.0Automotive department seems to be low on stock. Don't go looking for air or oil filters. Few, no choices in small bbq grills. Easy check out. Plenty of parking. Fuel station convenient.

I ordered a 30-inch range online and applied a gift certificate issued by American Shield Insurance for close to $700. The balance was about $125. on a credit card and all the paperwork reflected the gift certificate being applied and credit card with the rest. When I saw the credit card statement, it showed the gift card at 0 and the full charge on the credit card. I spent 40 minutes at customer service returns in this store trying to get the gift card applied and the rest on the credit card. Simple, right? No. The clerk said special orders on line would not accept a gift card - and there was no warning or indication of this when I ordered. When I called corporate headquarters this a.m. the clerk was equally inflexible, saying nothing on orders could be changed once they were invoiced. I have to pay for the stove. The gift card is in the system at the Yuma store. Now I've written to corporate headquarters. What happened to the Lowe's I loved when I worked at the Show Low, AZ. store before I retired? Customer Service is dead and gone, apparently.

It appears that I’ve been charged multiple times for an order. How can I resolve this?
These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped. If you observe multiple pending authorizations, please contact your financial institution as each bank’s policies differ on how long authorizations are held.
