We purchased two reclining sofas from La-Z-Boy just under three years ago. The Scottsdale store experience was excellent, and the sales team was knowledgeable and easy to work with.
However, the product quality has not met expectations. Within the first year, we required two service visits to address issues with the reclining mechanisms. While the technicians were professional and the repairs were completed, needing multiple fixes so early is concerning.
More recently, we were directed to complete a video inspection, which did not resolve the issue. After inspecting the sofa ourselves, there is no visible structural damage, but the cushion has worn out significantly sooner than expected.
Given the price point and the brand’s reputation, we expected long-term durability and consistent performance. Based on our experience, that has not been the case.
Prospective buyers should carefully evaluate current product quality and durability before making a purchase.

have been a loyal La-Z-Boy customer for years and have always trusted their quality—that’s why this experience is so disappointing.
I recently purchased a recliner due to neck surgery, making it a medical necessity for my recovery. Unfortunately, the footrest has already stopped working, leaving me with a recliner that doesn’t recline.
When I called customer service, I was told the soonest a repair technician could come out is 32 days. Waiting over a month for a repair on a medically necessary piece of furniture is completely unacceptable.
A warranty should provide timely support, especially when health is involved. Being left to manage recovery without proper support is frustrating and disheartening.
I expected better service and responsiveness from a company I’ve trusted for so long. I hope La-Z-Boy takes situations like this more seriously and improves their response times for customers in need
I ordered & bought a recliner/rocker from LaZBoy at Scottsdale AZ store. The salesperson was Anthony Lucero. He is very nice, easy to work with, and good at keeping me informed about my made-to-order recliner though texts & email. Thank you!
Sometimes it’s just really nice to splurge and spoil yourself. Well, that’s exactly what I did a few years ago when I walked into the La-Z-Boy store off of Scottsdale Road. I was raised in a house where my parents always had a La-Z-Boy recliner one for my Mother and one for my Father. My brother and sister always knew as kids those chairs are for the parents only. Once in a while we sat in them while watching TV in the family room, but the moment Mom and Dad walked in there we knew to get off and go to the couch where we belong. Interesting how the childhood memories we have play a role on us in our adult years. Long story short I walked into the La-Z-Boy store a few years ago and I saw this genuine leather La-Z-Boy recliner, which was originally priced at $1500 and they had it dropped all the way down to something like $850. That was enough for me to say you know what I deserve some comfort too, and I finally bought one to call my own. Literally I have zero regrets. This recliner is my preferred chair in my studio apartment and it makes watching TV all that much more enjoyable. Also, if there’s a night that I just can’t sleep I go to my old faithful recliner and drift off.
