    I have been at the storage for a year now, and while I love the facility itself, I am extremely dissatisfied with the pricing practices. My fee has nearly quadrupled, and in the last month it went up by $80.00. When contacting them all I got was insistence that there is nothing to be done and online prices are only for new customers, not loyal customers. I didn't complain when the price doubled to $110 after the promotion period, but to jump up again with no warning is not okay. There is literally no option unless I was a new customer, and instead I'll have to look for a new company entirely which is extremely inconvenient. I needed this Unit for 18 months, and to have to move for the last six is very aggravating. Take that with a grain of salt. They wont tell you what the price will eventually go up to. Just based on "Market rate" though there is no proof of that rate. Every quote online, even the regular prices not the promotional ones, don't come close.

    My rent has increased way too much from when we started less than a year ago, it’s more than double now. Upping the price multiple times and now charging almost $400/month for a storage unit is criminal. I did not want to have to move my stuff again but will be vacating my unit and going elsewhere. There’s plenty of other options in the area! Beware this is clearly not the place for long term storage…. You would think they’d want to keep loyal customers rather than run them away with ridiculous rate hikes.

    Absolutely abhorrent customer service from the Assistant Manager, PJ, and Manager, Carrissa, at this facility. Let me start off by saying, I found ExtraSpace Storage online because they always promote extremely affordable storage units; what they don't tell you is that if you do not sign a contract agreement, they are legally binding you to the online contract that states "Customer Rental Terms May Change With 30 Day Notice" and the verbiage states "Customer Acknowledges this Agreement is month to month and that Operator may change or increase Customer's Monthly Rental Charge, fees and charges, due to changes in market conditions or FOR ANY OTHER REASON AT ANY TIME UPON 30 DAYS NOTICE TO CUSTOMER..." First and foremost, when I found this quote online, I immediately went down in person to figure out "what the catch was," to which I sat down with PJ, the Assistant Manager, at his desk in the front office to which he never advised of that clause in the contract and stated that is the price we would get going through the online site. I moved forward with signing my agreement online, again after discussing with PJ what was involved with the contract. I have been renting on a month to month for a 10x10 unit at $97.00 - I just received my bill this month for $191?!?! When I called to speak with the manager, I got PJ instead, I requested to speak with the manager, as he refused to assist me and stated it was in the contract and that they gave me a 30 day notice - I never received this notice. My bill was due on the 21, I called to speak with the Manager, Carrissa, on Friday, January 23rd after seeing my bill was no where close to what it should be. Of course I reached PJ who is absolutely no help whatsoever, I asked him to get in touch with his manager, as this is an urgent issue - he said she is off for the day and will not be available. I let him know that I needed to speak with her before I incur a late fee and lockout of my unit - he stated that he wouldn't get her involved and I would need to wait until Monday, Jan 26th, AFTER I incur the late fee.... I truly cant believe how despicable these people are. So now, my bill is $230 dollars from the original $97.. mind you, in my contract it states that the normal price for my unit is $142, yet this statement says they are charging me $177.. honestly and truly this company, mainly the 7502 E McDowell facility, have to be the worst management team you'll ever deal with - best advice, pay the extra money and go to a different company, otherwise, ExtraSpace Storage will gouge their prices however they see fit, without your consent, so long as they send you a notice (not certified btw) and hope you get it! AVOID AT ALL COST!
