Let's start... Daughter says that the shower is leaking. Ok yes it is. I googled the repair. Brought the shower cartridge with. Help from staff was a nogo. They offered something that replaces what I had in hand. Definitely would not work. Staff suggested that I give Brown plumbing parts.. I called. Drove to Glendale, near the airport. Staff there offers me the same exact item. @ $61 each. I said nope! It's $20 at Lowe's. I remembered about Google photo! Snapped a photo, identified it. The exact item I need, with a part number showed up. Looked up that part number. Voilà... $27 at Home Depot. Problem/repair solved. But $61 at a specialty store. Geez.. rolling my eyes.
