But I was completely shocked by the response I got when I walked into the Greenfield location with a return of an online Hobby Lobby order. The line for returns was long. I realized partway through my wait that I left my phone in the car, so I left the line and went to grab it. When I came back, there was a Hobby Lobby worker standing with a sign saying the register was closed blocking the line for the register. When I walked back up to the line she held the sign up at me and told me I’d need to go to a different register. I tried that and the employee at the other register told me I’d need to go to the returns register - back where I was originally. I went back and the girl showed the sign to me again telling me I needed to go somewhere else because this register was closed. I told her the other employee told me I needed to come to this register with a return. She just repeated herself and showed me the sign again. I eventually just quietly got in line anyway and the worker at the register processed my return. (Except for the one ornament that had arrived broken - apparently they can’t take back broken ornaments even if they arrived from an online order broken. I’d never even unwrapped it from the original packaging). Overall, an extremely disappointing experience.
