- LLLiz1 day ago2.0I have been using hobby lobby to do custom frames for a while. This is the first time using this store, and I have to say at first I was taken aback because it's not so much custom. You have to pick a frame that comes in the size that you want and then they order it from a warehouse. We did this and picked out frames and everything within the sizes and it had the order in by Thursday, to just receive a call on a Monday saying the frame we picked is now out of stock and no hobby lobby has it and it's already 3 days pass so the order took 3 days to put in while everything sold out. I had intended on spending over $300 on a custom mind. You custom to me means I get to pick a frame and such glass, glare or not, all of that and can order. But that seems to be an issue here. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is a staff is super friendly. It's just how the store is run and I have to say it is way below par. Head over to Michaels and see if they can do or better yet save some money and order online.
