Lowe’s use to be one of my favorite places to shop.it has gotten to where I just have to leave my items at checkout and go somewhere else because can’t get checked out. There will be 20 people trying to check out at self checkout and 2 or 3 registers working and the employees want check out no one. There can be as many as 3 employees just standing around and when you lay your items down and say I’ll go somewhere else they just laugh as they don’t care. What kinda business is this? This is the store on Baxter drive in Tuscaloosa Alabama. They always have employees standing around talking to one another or texting on their phones but none want to help you and it’s been getting worse in the past year. I would have to travel to the one in Northport Alabama which is way across town or just run down to Ace hardware or Home Depot. I wish someone would help with this matter. There is no since paying that many people to stand around and not help customers. As I’m an older female I should not have to load lumber or concrete myself. I even pulled under the pick area and had customers come and help me before they went in the store. This past Saturday my husband and I went there for a few items and there was about 20 or more people trying to check out and 4 self checkout running and the girl just laughed when we left our items and said we would go somewhere we could get checked out . We went to Ace Hardware they had what we needed and we wasn’t there but a few minutes and several employees asked if we needed help. Someone need to fix this store

I am not one to write reviews but I felt the need to with this one. My husband and I were at the store in the self checkout line, and some older lady who works there comes with one of the electric things, and I was quite literally just standing there looking at things by the checkout NOT in her way, and she says if people would not get in the way that would be great, proceeds to stare me down, and when I look back at her she grins like she proved a point. I was doing absolutely nothing and didn’t say anything although I probably should have. Customer service is unfortunately going down hill everywhere but that was just ridiculous and snarky and I feel like people need to know about this, and Lowe’s needs to know about this. Please I beg of you go to Home Depot, they are cheaper, have pretty much the same things, and I have NEVER had an experience there like this one.

Our dishwasher broke on Thursday 3/12/26. We went to Lowe's to get a new dishwasher. I had advised my husband to order online as they had 1-day delivery, but he wanted to go to Lowe's to see the dishwasher in person and support brick and mortar businesses. We went to Lowe's on Sunday 3/15/26 to pick out a dishwasher we liked and have it delivered and installed. We did the entire choosing and committing process, and then RIGHT before the employee ran our card, she said "Oh, we won't be able to deliver and install this for like a week, okay?". Strike one, not telling us about the delay until we were ready to pay felt like a devious pressure tactic, but we agreed. They had told us that the people who would be delivering it would call us within three days, but they didn't. They didn't call us for an entire week. Strike two. We finally called Lowe's to ask what was going on on Sunday 3/22/26, and they said they had the dishwasher in stock, but they used an outside company to deliver who was backed up. They put us in touch with that company, who said they wouldn't be able to deliver the dishwasher until Monday 3/30/2026. Strike three. We were angry having to go without a dishwasher for two full weeks, but we were content just to have done with it. My husband took that Monday 3/30 off work to receive the installer... and then, 30 minutes before they were supposed to get there, they sent him a text telling him that they had to cancel the appointment. Strike FOUR. We usually only give people three strikes, but we just really needed this dishwasher. We were so mad, we were JUST about to call Lowe's, ask for a refund and order the dang thing somewhere else, but then the installation company called us late Wednesday 4/1 to let us know that they could squeeze us in on Thursday 4/2. Still irritated that we had so little notice to get ready for the installation, but desperate for a dishwasher and just wanting to have the whole thing done with, we accepted the appointment. Dishwasher installed with no issue, works great, thankful to finally have one. But going three weeks without a dishwasher with how abjectly busy we both are was a HUGE hardship, we feel like we were misled several times throughout the experience, and this has made both of us feel like we just never want to deal with this Lowe's ever again.

Lowe’s always has everything we need. My only concern is the Supreme Bird Seed towers. All of the ones on the shelf are expired and have been for over a year. I accidentally bought one and had to return due to mold all over the bird seed. Unfortunately this is a recurring issue.

This is not really a store, its a circus. Ordered some patio furniture online and chose in store pick up. The workers at the store were rude and in no hurry to find the items or even help load the furniture up. It took 20 minutes and finally manager helped sort the situation out. Overall a terrible experience.
