A part of the mechanism had broken several years ago, but this had not prevented the chair from working and being useable. A spring in the seat had recently broken, and this prompted the purchase of the new recliner. I went to the La-Z-Boy Showcase Shop in Montgomery, AL., and the manager helped me find a perfect replacement chair, at a FANTASTIC PRICE. The chair was delivered within the specified time frame and the guys that brought it had it set up and I was sitting in it in about 10 minutes. The chair is a bit larger than my old chair, and much more padded. If this La-Z-Boy lasts as well and as long as my previous chair does, I will be WELL SATISFIED. La-Z-Boy surely knows how to make a quality product!!!

I returned to the store and was told that I should not have accepted it at delivery. After stating that I was going to make a official complaint to their corporate office they final sent a repair person to repair the recliner. The recliner that I purchased I later found being sold at Rooms to Go for $1000 less that Lazy boy sold to me. BUYER BEWARE!
