I asked where an item was since it wasn't where the app stated it would be, and the man sent me to some random aisle that had tubes of caulk instead of the sealant I asked for 🙄 Don't waste your time here, just go to Paris Ace Hardware on Cottage Hill. They are the real deal.

Guy said he was going to get someone. 20 minute wait. No one ever showed up. I spent over 2 hours in the store and only received help from people who had no idea what they were talking about or said they would get someone and never did.
- AAABartApr 17, 20263.0In our age of AI and self service it was obvious how things have changed in last few years during my recent visit to Lowes. There were no employee operated check outs and all were self service. I understand businesses claim they are trying to offer more to customers however I don't agree with this aspect. I still think businesses should offer the employee check outs along with self service options. It's sad to see that we've changed to this form of customer service. I noticed something else I was disappointed to see during my visit. Something I never thought I would see at a Lowes was how dirty the products were on the shelves and in the store in general. I was in the tool section and picked up a few items to read about them and they were covered in dirt and dust. By the time I left the store I felt dirty and gritty. That was a first and I would think they would care enough about the customer's experience in their store that they would have employees keep things cleaner. Maybe they could keep the employees who no longer operate the check outs and help improve product displays rather than laying off those employees. Just a thought.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped.
