Aaron's Rent To Own didn't have a good variety of furniture and there was a definite lack of professionalism. Im surprised they sell anything at all, as other places are happy to finance so Im not sure if that is their hook to sell ANYTHING. I was a cash paying customer who self guided my way in the door and straight back out.

This store use to be a wonderful store to order from, but ever since the new Manager Josh has taken over and they fired quite a few of their long term employees, it has gone down hill in a bad way. We complain to the manager Josh that no one called us in regards to an item we tried ordering through them. He specifically told us he would call us back after he did inventory on the truck even if the item wasn't there. So when we tell him he didn't call us, he said exactly this "No, I said I would have someone call you. That's what I pay them for, to do the calling." What kind of manager blames that on his employees when he was the one that told us he would call us himself? Then we again have to deal with Josh on a situation regarding a card placed on file for payment, he tells us he can't remove that card. Now I'm not sure on the back in what managers can and can't do at Aarons, but low and behold he comes back a few minutes later and tells us he got the card removed. But didn't you just tell us you couldn't take it off? All this because ultimately they were randomly charging the card whatever they felt was right, on dates that weren't even the due dates/payment date. Then this new individual named Chantel works at the front desk, sitting down not even bothering to get up or greet you when you enter the store. She acts like she owns the place not having to get up and help customers, she has an attitude even when you are polite with her. I mean its her job to take your payment, look up your order details and more but she acts like it's so frigging hard to do. Or if you want her to show you an item or get a price on one that doesn't have a flyer on the floor she asks someone else to get the number off of it for her while she stays sitting down. Now im one to give the benefit of the doubt and maybe its medical related or something, but if thats the case the Josh the manager who again says he pays the people to do the calling, needs to put her somewhere else in the office or something and put someone out that can get up and do their job and walk around the store when people are looking at items and need help. For a store that relies on customers, you'd think their customer service would be on top of it. I understand you know people have issues or screw up and credit isn't great, but the ones that are gold members and never missed a payment, pay out an entire lease giving the company tons of money for an item that isn't even worth that amount, they'd take better care of. While I have the means to order things online, I don't like to. I like to see the item in person and know what I'm getting. I'm just old fashioned like that. But again I but headset with the manager Josh, who tells me to order my item online and have it delivered to the store and they will deliver it to me. The problem with that is, I don't like to do that. So I ask if they could kindly order the item for me through their online store, and Josh tells me no, he can't do that. OK why not? I can understand if its company policy or they just can't do things in that manner on the back end, but go the extra mile for your customer. Especially a gold member who pays everything on time and never once missed a payment. You could have easily had your own computer, help me pick the item I want and then have me input my details to order it and then have it delivered to the store. I may just be a stickler on that one but thats my two cents there. Delivery personnel have always been courteous and friendly. While I would like to recommend this store, I can't. It's just fallen to far from good service. The manager Josh is inconsistent, lies, throws his employees under the bus like it'll save him, and just doesn't care about the customer like a manager should. The manager before him was much nicer, and his name was Rick. Wherever he is, I hope he is doing good and I'd take my business to him if I knew he worked in a store like Aaron's. I'll also most likely be taking my business to Rent-A-Center instead of Aaron's from now on due to the treatment by Josh and Chantel.
