I reasontly bought an on demand hit water heater to replace my grandma's failed one. I got it all installed and found out that the exuast pipe isnt sold in alaska wth so I find Kenneth and Karl and they look wvery where no dice so I say well I will just get the one you do have that will work and bring the other back they sounds good they help me get everything I need check me out and help me to my truck its at 9pm and it was much appreciated. I got it installed and working that night great service. But I bring the return back and customer service says no way oh boy you have got to be kidding me. They did end up excepting it and I would have giving 5 stars to Kenneth and Carl but they should have warned me about the policy on hot water heaters.

As professional dog trainers, we occasionally use dog-friendly retail environments like Lowe’s to practice real-world skills such as calm walking, neutrality around people, and polite public manners. We are always careful to remain respectful of customers, staff, and business operations. During a recent visit, we were working with three dogs in a mostly empty lumber aisle on a Sunday morning. We encountered two customers and immediately offered to move before they even asked. Both declined and assured us we were not in their way, so we continued training briefly. A few minutes later, an associate team lead or manager named Joe approached with another employee and immediately accused us of impeding business and refusing to move for customers. The tone was confrontational from the start. When I attempted to explain what had actually occurred, Joe repeatedly spoke over me and raised his voice, even telling me “no you aren’t” when I said I was trying to respond and talked. Two of our clients who had witnessed the earlier interaction stepped in to confirm that we had only encountered two customers and that both had declined our offer to move. The issue was never about relocating — we would have happily moved if asked. The concern was the immediate assumption of wrongdoing and the aggressive manner in which the situation was handled, rather than a simple conversation. During the exchange, Joe even acknowledged that the aisle we were in would not be busy for several hours on a Sunday, which made the confrontational approach even more surprising. The aisle was also empty of any clients while this confrontation was occurring. For context, we have previously reached out to Lowe’s at higher levels to clarify expectations about training visits and have consistently been told that well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome to walk through the store. We make every effort to be respectful of the space and its customers. Had this begun as a normal conversation — asking us to relocate or suggesting a better area — we would have gladly accommodated. Unfortunately, the situation began with accusations and escalated unnecessarily. We value businesses that welcome well-behaved dogs and allow owners to practice responsible public behavior. However, respectful communication from leadership is essential, and this interaction fell far short of any sort of that standard.
