Wide variety but limited in each sector of supply. Prices when on clearance or online return can be ridiculously low. I've bought a snowplow and lawnmower well below anywhere else. Base prices are high, but that's true everywhere. Customer service is exceptional. Employee knowledge of merchandise is exceptional.
I remember the snow plow wouldn't fit in my car and so one of the guys were able to put the behemoth in his truck and deliver it to me.

Went into to pickup a order of seeds for my elderly parents. Took in a copy of order and the credit card which was used to pay for order. Arrived around 2.30 pm and headed to customer service desk for what should have been a quick encounter. The only person at the service desk was a gentlemen named Murray , he ignored me standing in front of him for a minute while looking at his computer screen. I then told Murray i was here to pick up a order and presented the copy of the order and the credit card being used to purchase. He asked me for photo Id and i said i do t have my drivers license as it is a peice of paper but offered to show him my drivers license front and back on my phone he said no cant do it. He then phhoned my pops to confirm i was allowed to pick up the $21.00 of seed , which was confirmed but yet he still wanted a ID. Still did not want the pic off my phone so went outside and came in back in to produce my gun license. Well do e Murray!! I think there are situations where you can make a derermination if this person is legit. They now accept your insurance card off your phone in Alberta but Rona (murray) does not accept a pic on phone of front and back of a Alberta license. Way to go Murray , i will take my business over to home hardware.!!

I would like to let everyone know about my very NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE at STRATHMORE RONA. Now, I have shopped there many times and more often than not am disappointed in the stock, prices and, especially the customer service.
Yesterday evening I went to Rona in Strathmore, and after I'd left the building and was driving out of the parking lot a sales associate BLOCKED MY CAR and ACCUSED me of STEALING. Pointed his finger at me and said he saw me fill my shopping bag full of stuff and run out of the building. I of course had not and was very insulted! I got out of my car took the bag I had and dumped it out to show him what was in the bag - I used many expletives, understand that I have never been accused of stealing, never have, and cannot say that I have ever been treated so confrontationally, disrespectfully in a civilized area.
I drove away, angry, insulted and hurt, parked on the street and called the store manager. She was diplomatic and assured me that the incident would be investigated and would call me the next day. I did receive a call from a different manager this morning. He apologized profusely on behalf of the actions of his staff and asked that next time I am in the store to ask to see him.
The sales associate, apparently, received only a talking to and a written warning.
I think he should get a few extra days off without pay... I fully believe that there should be some more serious consequences for his actions. I can say with certainty that I will only go back to Strathmore Rona if it is a matter of life and death.
