I would like to publicly acknowledge the efforts of Christa (I believe she is the store Manager at Rona St. Albert).
I ordered a snowblower from the Rona.ca website and paid for it. However, I received a call from Customer Service at Rona St. Albert saying that they cannot sell the unit since it was a display only unit. When I asked to speak to the Manager, I was connected with Christa who told me that while, normally, they would not sell a display unit, they would do so in this case. I agreed and thanked her. However, after a couple of hours or so I received a call from her indicating that the unit was defective and they could not sell. She volunteered to transfer my order to the Calgary (Crowfoot) Rona to which I agreed. They were to ship the unit to my house.
After some time, I received a call from the Calgary (Crowfoot) Rona who indicated that they could not ship the unit and they cancelled my order. When I touched base with Christa, she agreed to look into this. She got back to me and told me that they would have a snowblower brought in for me from another Rona and that I could pick it up in January 2, 2026. Then, on January 1, 2026, Christa called me to inform that the snowblower had arrived at the Rona St. Albert store. I paid for it an picked it up on January 2, 2026.
While this is a lengthy review, I wanted to ensure that Christa was properly acknowledged for the efforts she took to procure this for me. I am sure that everyone will agree this was truly beyond what was expected of her--she could have simply apologized and ended the matter. However, she took it upon herself to ensure that the original sale (through Rona.ca) was honored. Thank you Christa and Rona St. Albert.

I wanted to use Rona as a Canadian company. Ordered some drywall for delivery. At first, the delivery was going smooth. A call received to confirm delivery date. Set up for Saturday. No communication until 8pm when the truck supposedly broke down. They told me then that the delivery would be ‘tomorrow’. Called at 4pm on Sunday to find out where the delivery is and was told they don’t do delivery on Sunday and that they had left me a voice mail. False: No voice mail. No delivery.
Every experience is different but this was horrible. Terrible communication. The manager had zero remorse and offered nothing except for a delivery on Monday… when I’m not home.
Order cancelled. I’ll go elsewhere… permanently.

I wanted to take a minute and recognize Shiela who helped me twice today. Especially for her assistance when I needed to purchase a very large and heavy Smoker. She was so helpful and kind. When I explained what I needed she quickly went to wrestle this unit off a high shelf and arrange for it to be taken to my vehicle . So pleasant to have such a positive staff member to deal with. I hope the company knows they have a real customer service star. I have managed many teams over my career and I know how rare it is to have someone on staff who can connect with clients. Is my online order confirmation page considered an official receipt?

How do I qualify for the vehicle rental?
To rent a vehicle, you must:
> Be at least 21 years old
> Hold a valid full driver’s license (not a graduated license)
> Provide proof of insurance in your name
> Present a major credit card
NOTE: For the Province of Saskatchewan, the customer must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license.
Do RONA+ charge deposit for the truck/van rental?
A deposit of $500 for all rentals will be charged before we rent the van to a valid credit card. After inspection deposit will be refunded less the rental fee when customer return the van/truck.
How do I pay for the truck/van rental?
We accept all major credit cards.
Please note that cash, checks, gift cards, money orders, or prepaid visa cards are NOT accepted as payment for vehicle rentals. Store associates do not receive discounts on truck rentals and are charged the same rental fee as the customer.
Do RONA offer insurance for the vehicle rental?
At this time, RONA+ does not provide rental insurance. You’ll need to use your own liability insurance that covers non-owned vehicle rentals. Please make sure the proof of insurance is under the renter’s name.
What is your return policy for truck / van rental?
Returns are simple! When you bring back the vehicle, we’ll do a quick walkaround inspection and check the fuel gauge. As long as the vehicle is in the same condition and fuel level as when you rented it, you’re good to go.
